A Favorite has Returned….

A Glorious Day….

Good Morning Everyone! I don’t know if many of you remember this scent from the early 2000’s but I do. I wore this scent in 2002 until they discontinued it in 2009 or maybe even earlier.

I LOVE Night Blooming Jasmine from Bath & Body Works. I have been emailing that company for years requesting that they bring this back. I was so surprised when I received my semi-annual postcard in the mail that it listed it on the card!

I could not believe it and hopped on the site immediately. Of course it was not available until the day of the sale but I wanted to see it. Now it has sold out already! I am not surprised. I will be emailing and asking if they will be bringing it back permanently.

Now I know this looks bad but I could not resist it. I got about 20 bottles from two different stores. At $3.95 each how could I refuse?

I have stored them in my closet cabinet and will be enjoying them all year. I have had numerous co-workers and family stop me about this scent. It’s light and beautiful.

It’s the simple things in life that make it worthwhile. Even having a special scent return is a wonderful event for me. I hope that you all go and check out the scent if it is available in your local store. You may like it you may not but to each his own.

Enjoy your day!

Vitamins for the New Year

Good Morning Everyone,

It’s time for the new year, new me slogan. I always found that funny but oh well. I don’t think you need the new year to make resolutions. You can make them anytime. Life is about always making changes that are the best for you. I have never believed in waiting until the new year to make changes.

Make your changes now. Anyway, since we are on the topic of the new year I did want to share the vitamins that I would be taking in 2020.

Now I believe that I have shared my woman’s multivitamin before. I take the VitaFusion Women’s Multivitamin and you can find these anywhere. I found mine at the grocery store. I believe Walmart sells them as well.
Here is the backside if you are interested. These taste so good and are about $10 a bottle. These last me about 4 to 5 months and I have been taking them for about 2 years. I do love the taste!

Now when I was grabbing these I noticed the Vitafusion Magnesium. I picked up the bottle and begin to read. I did read that magnesium is good for muscle and nerve function as well as blood sugar levels and blood pressure.
Here is the backside if you are interested. I recently have had a few high blood pressure scares. I don’t know what was going on but it was high.

I am not a fan of blood pressure pills. I have family members who have been on them for years and had to get other medication because of the side effects from the blood pressure pills! It’s nuts!

I would rather eat healthy, exercise, and take care of myself than be on blood pressure pills. So we will see how these work.

I hope that you all enjoyed this post and found this information helpful. Each year I try to make a goal of going to see more specialists. Now that I have had a podiatrist visit I will be visiting a vein doctor.

I have been struggling with circulation in my left leg for over a decade now and I think it’s time to get it looked at. I still have not had a facial and I need to get that appointment booked this year as well. I have also been thinking about seeing a dietitian. I have not meet with one since Lauren was born.

I will let you guys know what I find out. Enjoy your Monday!

Trying New Things (Organic)

Hello Everyone,

Today is going to just be a quick little post about natural products that I am trying. I have been reading and watching a lot about natural living. I believe it is important but it will be a slow process for us all.

I am starting with these natural candles that I found at my neighborhood grocery store. These are called Nature’s Own Natural Candle. I found these in our cleaning section and wanted to give them a try. Now they are not as powerful as the other candles that I use but they are lightly scented. They do smell wonderful and burn quite well. I purchased the Wild Tuberose (smells like roses) and White Thyme and Tangerine.
Next is this Ultra Downy Nature Blends- Plant Base Softener. It smells DIVINE! I purchased the rosewater and aloe scent. We love it! Now I must admit I have not used fabric softener in years! Everything I purchased made us itch! We have been using this for a month and now I believe that I can’t live without it. It was a great find and did I mention it was plant-based!
And last on my list is this Simple Truth Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil Cooking Spray. I use cooking spray every day and then it dawned on me that maybe I should try some organic spray. I love it and did notice a change in taste with my food.

I hope you all enjoyed these products and if you have found something organic that you would like to share please do so in the comments section! I love reading about all your home ideas!

Thanks for reading!

Beautiful Hand Soaps

Good Morning Everyone,

Sorry for the no post on Monday. I was really tired by the end of the day and just wanted to get to bed. I still managed to get behind schedule on Monday and we left the house late. Never fun….

Today I just wanted to share these new hand soaps at Bath and Body Works.

This is the blackberries and basil scent and it smells just like blackberries. It is lovely and one cannot argue about these beautiful bottles.
This was actually one of my favorites. It is a wonderful blend of soft cotton and jasmine.
Cucumber lily is always a favorite of mine. I can’t get enough of the lily of the valley scent.
This is actually very refreshing. I love the smell of eucalyptus. Fresh eucalyptus is always the best! It’s a wonderful addition in my flower bouquets.
Now with rose water & ivy, I really could not fall in love with it. I don’t know why but I am not a fan and that is okay. I think it could be the musk that could be pushing me away but I am not sure.

I hope that you can all go and take a few minutes to go and smell these. Sometimes I like to just window shop and just enjoy my time in places and not spend any money. Enjoying feminine products, I think, is another way to have an elegant life. Enjoy your Wednesday!

Thoughts~ Antica Farmacista Samples

Good Morning Everyone! It’s the end of another week and the end of June. Gosh! The end of June already. I recently checked to see how many blog posts I have published and I have written and published over 800 blog posts! Wow…. I have no idea how I am still doing this. I really don’t….

I recently shared in my Youtube video that I ordered the Antica Farmacista Sample Kit. I received my kit recently and went on a spraying frenzy in my home!

It arrived in this very decorative box.
They provided two pouches full of samples.
Okay, I sprayed each set and came up with some favorites and some not-so-favorites. My favorites were CasablancaLemon VerbenaLush PalmLavender LimeDamascena RoseProsecco, and, Grapefruit

My not-so-favorites were Fig LeafVanilla BourbonHana LeiManhattan, and Santorini

Of course, I loved the Casablanca scent. It smelled just like lilies to me. Fresh and beautiful. The Lemon Verbena & Cedar smelled just like fresh lemons with a light scent of cedar. Lush Palm is such a beautiful scent. It smells of green florals and gardenia. Lavender and lime is a beautiful combination of both. I could smell just enough lime and it did not cancel out the lavender. Damascena rose smells just like roses. I can’t say anything else about it. It smells wonderful!

Now Prosecco I was a little unsure about but once I sprayed it there was a beautiful citrus scent in the air and a small dose of floral. The grapefruit smelled just like a fresh peeled piece of fruit. I think I sprayed that one the most! Especially, where the dogs sleep!

The other scents were not terrible just not my cup of tea. You can jump on the website and read their descriptions. Who knows, what I dislike you may love. We all have our own preferences. I would say this, the price for these samples is well worth it. I would definitely suggest that you order one.

I hope this was informative as well as inspiring! Enjoy your weekend everyone and thanks for reading!

Wild Blueberry and Honeysuckle Cream

It’s Friday and I am looking forward to getting into my flower garden this weekend. I am hoping that some of the rain will hold out. I really want to get some mulch, and flower pots for my porch. My Canadian cherry choke tree is blooming and it smells like fresh lavender out front. It is so lovely.

I love simple pleasures like that in life. Being out front with my husband looking at all of the work that we want to do this spring to our yard and then getting a whiff of our scented tree. Very nice….

Speaking of scents, I hope that some of you have had a chance to get to Bath and Body Works. Their new scents are amazing! It has been very hard for me to find a scent lately. I am still a dedicated fan of the oldies but goodies. Like the original cherry blossomthat has been the last of the retired scents that I have been able to order. I love it and order it in bulk when I can.

But now their new wild blueberry scent is a close second! I love it! I have been wearing it for about two weeks now and still love it. That is a good sign. Another great fragrance is their pink honeysuckle. It has such a clean smell to it. I really like the notes of pink mandarin and sandalwood in it. It’s lovely.

I hope you can all get a moment to stop by and smell these. Enjoy a simple pleasures!

Lolita Lempicka

A little perfume today….. Lolita Lempicka has been my go to fragrance this month. I have been wearing this for over ten years. It has a “powdery” scent to it. I love it!

And apparently people who have passed me on the street love it too! I have had several people tell me, “ohh my goodness, you smell wonderful”. I do love this scent and look forward to wearing my “heavier” scents for the next few months.
Have a great weekend!
