Elegant Clothes and Feminine Accessories

A Few Internet Favs

Good Morning Everyone,

I still have not heard of when we might return to the office. I know here in Indy they are canceling a big chunk of our summer concerts and conventions. Some of the tenants (law offices) in our building are not returning until August. So we will see how things go…

I took my Manolo dupes out for a spin. Yes, I wore them to the grocery store, why not? I think it’s the perfect time to “break-in” a shoe.  I love them. So comfy… it was nice having something sparkly and feminine on my feet while I am wearing a hideous mask.

In today’s post I wanted to share a few things on the internet that I just loved. I hope you all enjoy these…

I saw these lovely cards on Facebook from Felix Doolittle. I love his work and I am thinking about ordering a few things. I saw him on the Martha Stewart Show years ago.
I saw these beauties on Instagram. Estee Lauder Lip Repair Potion, it looks like a winner to me! I love their pure envy color. I had a sample last year and loved it!

One of my friend’s daughter started a baking company called The Paint Can Bakery and she does amazing work! She made this cake from scratch for a wedding recently. I adore it and told her I wanted a small one for my birthday. But she doesn’t ship and we live almost 2 hours away!
I can not have a favs post without blue and white. I am following this Instagram account called Shop Splendor in the South. They sell beautiful unique pieces like this tissue holder. I sooo want this but I am trying to find something similar in the home that I can use.

Saw this and had to include it….

I found this company on Instagram while scrolling thru. I don’t follow them. I think it was just an advertisement. The company is called Lo Florist Supplies. They have lots of supplies for parties.

Another great quote! I have had a lot of people say, “oh you can’t hold grudges” and I feel like I am not. I am just trying to keep the crazy people away from me!

I saw this beautiful hat on Poshmark. I had to make an offer. I got it! It’s brand new and from Ann Taylor!

These beauties were on Etsy. I love the cluster vintage pearl look. I got them for $10!
I could not pass up this houndstooth printed JCrew tray. Do you see the price? Yes, I purchased it. It arrived yesterday and looks great on my home office desk. Super chic!

Okay, I could not get enough of Poshmark for the last two weeks. I made an offer on these and they should be arriving this weekend. So lovely…
Lastly, I don’t know if any of you are on Facebook but they are now letting you create your own Avatar. Here is mine. I actually like her. What do you guys think?
Well this was a fun post. I hope you guys enjoyed it. Have a great Memorial Day weekend! We are just keeping things simple. We are going to grill some hamburgers and hotdogs with a few sides. Enjoy your families!

The Manolo Dupe

Good Morning Everyone,

I am so excited to share this item today that I am just going to jump right in!

I am always on the lookout for a good “dupe”. This one is really good.

If you love weddings like I do then you have seen the gorgeous Manolo Blahnik Hangisi pump. You have dreamed about it being on your foot but once you saw that price that dream immediately left you!

The shoe is about $1,000 brand new! I found some gently “used” ones on other resale luxury websites but it is still a whopping $400! No way…

I don’t know how I discovered these but I found these really beautiful “dupe” pairs on the DSW website. They are called the Izzie pump and comes in 5 different colors!

I, of course, had to get them in the light pink. They come in red, black, white and leopard.

They are true to size and are extremely comfortable. I could not believe that I found these. I just love them. And did you see the price??? Only $59.99, umm yes please!
I did find a second pair on the website. These cost a little bit more but are just as beautiful.

I hope you all enjoyed this find. I love a beautiful shoe, especially an affordable one. I hope you all have a wonderful Wednesday.

Work from Home Accessories

Good Morning Everyone,

It’s Friday already. I feel like since March has passed (March seemed to take forever) these weeks are just flying by.

My step-son and daughter are feeling anxious about the upcoming school year. They both are ready to return but I am not so sure that it will be on time. We will see…

Now with us working from home and trying to establish new routines, I thought I would share the accessories that I wore last week while I was home. Yes, I barely left the house but I don’t dress for other people. I dress for me and I think that is why it is so easy for me to get ready in the mornings.

So on Monday, I decided to wear these pink and gold vintage clip-on earrings that I found at an antique store. I am also wearing my floral Banana Republic scarf that I found at a thrift store years ago.

On Tuesday, I decided to just wear these crystal Eisenberg earrings that I purchased from eBay some time ago. With my new vintage clip slip-ons, I can now wear these all day!

On Wednesday wore my blue vintage clip on earrings with my crystal brooch.

On Thursday I missed wearing pearls so I wore my pearl tassel necklace that I picked up from Charming Charlie a few years ago. Charming Charlie has now re-opened! But I believe they may be online only for now.

On Friday, I decided to wear my new pink and gold cameo vintage clip-on earrings. These are so beautiful and I had to make an offer on Poshmark! I was so glad that she accepted. They are a great addition to my wardrobe.

In addition to the earrings, I wore my floral silk scarf from Ann Taylor.

On Saturday, I wore one of my new jumpsuits! It was so comfy and chic. I wore my pearl and gold clip-on vintage earrings and my gold chain bracelet that I found at an antique store.
I hope this has provided some inspiration for you. Pull out those pearl earrings and wear them around the home. Even if you are in your jeans, wear them! Why not??

Have a great weekend and Happy Mother’s Day!!!!

Vintage Earring Slips

Good Morning Everyone,

I hope all is well. These last few weeks have been so interesting. I never thought in a million years that I would be working from home. I am enjoying my lilac growing in and watching my peonies get large. I hope I have great blooms this year.

The beauty is needed….. now on to a great find.
I found these handy clip slips on Etsy! These are great if you have a lot of vintage earrings that you cannot wear due to discomfort.
They have these little clear pockets that you slip your clip into.

They made my vintage earrings so comfortable now! I can wear them all day without getting a headache! I told the shop owner that these were lifesavers!

I do love them and if you have vintage clip earrings that are causing you pain I would suggest you order of pair of these. They are very affordable and easy to apply to your earrings.

I hope this find saves someone’s ears and maybe those beautiful vintage earrings that you were going to get rid of! Now you can keep them.

Enjoy!

The Affordable Audrey Sunglasses

Hello Everyone,

I hope you all had a great weekend. Ours was not too bad. We were able to go to the nursery and pick up some plants for our front yard and planters (we had social distancing in practice). I plan on doing planters this year. I can’t wait until it gets warm and this virus goes away.

I’ve been shopping online like crazy. Since all of my favorite stores are closed I have no choice. Well, at least that’s what I keep telling my husband.

In fact, in today’s post, I wanted to share one of those wonderful purchases.

These are the Tortoise Audrey Sunglasses at Tuckernuck. I saw them on this fellow blogger and had to take a peek.
Did you click on the link? Did you see that price?
They are stunning! I thought that they were going to be cheap but they are of great quality. Now they do not come with a sunglass case but I am sure most of us have extra ones around.

They also come in pink and I am not sure how long that price is going to stay around. I hope you can pick up a pair to enjoy this spring and summer.

Have a great Monday all!

App Love: Like to Know It

Good Morning Everyone,

Still working from home. The governor of Indiana has issued a mandatory “stay at home” order. We can still go to the store, pharmacies, and essential jobs are considered exempt. We will see how things go for the rest of the week with this.

Since everyone has to stay home at the moment it has given me the opportunity to explore new apps. I know there have been several times where I am on Instagram and a blogger posts something that I love and I click on it and it takes me to the app called LiketoKnowIt.

This always irritated me until recently. So I made the decision this past weekend to download this app and I must say I am hooked!

This app gives you access to all of their home decor and clothes. My Amazon lists are full and for the most part, everything is affordable.

One person that I am following on the app is called My Texas House.

She has great taste and because I am following her on LiketoKnowit I get all of the links and information on all of her sources.

Like that beautiful wall mirror in this photo is from Home Depot.

Or this gorgeous bench from Wayfair. Even though I like this one better for my bedroom.

Another item that I found was this very elegant flare dress on Amazon. I’m still thinking about ordering this.

This sophisticated and chic electronic organizer is something else that I found on LiketoKnowit.

And I can’t forget to share these feminine flower earrings.

I found so many gorgeous things on this app.

And I could not resist ordering these Audrey tortoise sunglasses as well.

I hope you guys enjoyed this post. If you have seen this app before I would encourage you to download it. You will find lots of beautiful things!

Have a great day!

Clutches ~ Best Make-Up Bags?

Good Morning Everyone,

Sorry for the no-post on Monday. I have been really wanting to stay away for social media. There has been so much junk going around. My good friend texted me this past weekend and asked, “hey are you going to post a video”? Oh my, I completely forgot about my channel! I will try to get something posted this weekend.

This weekend I was dealing with my Roomba. I had to get “Alfred” on a cleaning schedule because my husband had control of him and he was not being used. So we transferred the app to my phone and now I have Alfred on a cleaning schedule. Yeppee!

In today’s post I wanted to talk about my favorite clutches. Now I use my clutches as makeup bags because my purses are like totes so I can get away with it.

This first one has been a favorite for about a couple of years. I purchased it from Ann Taylor about two years ago and I love the color and the velvet texture.

It looks great and has been a wonderful makeup bag for me. Below are all of my clutches that I use as makeup bags.
I use all of them for different seasons. Most of them I purchased brand-new and the embroidered one I just purchased from Poshmark last week and I love it so far!

I use these during the winter and fall months. There is plenty of room and I love the textures and colors. The red velvet was purchased from Ann Taylor Factory and the pearl one was purchased from Banana Republic

These two I will probably carry through the spring and summer months. The pink one I purchased from Aldo and it comes with a chain.

But I got to tell you I do love my embroidered clutch from Poshmark.

It has lots of room and pockets for special items. I am going to enjoy having this in my tote.
It looks great and fits well. I hope you all enjoyed this post and that maybe it sparked a little interested in clutches for you. I know I love big bags and not everyone can carry one but if you have a work tote maybe this would be a good option for you. Enjoy your day!
