Elegant Clothes and Feminine Accessories

Simple Picks

Good Morning! I was not sure if I was going to be able to get a blog post together for today but here we are with something simple.

Darn those Ann Taylor Factory emails! I found some beautiful yet simple pieces to share today.

First is this lovely boatneck sweater. I love a good boatneck. They are so feminine and classy and this one comes in nine different colors. Oh joy!

I ordered it in slate blue. I can see it now with a pair of pearls.

Next is this simple yet beautiful striped shirtdress. The price is outstanding and who would not want this beautiful piece in their wardrobe? It’s so versatile. You can wear it to work, a wedding, church, dinner with your husband or with a friend. I know I look forward to wearing it. I ordered it for myself.
The third item is this soft but fitted ribbed trim sweater. This also comes in seven different colors. I had to order it in the dogwood pink. It was too pretty not to.
And last but there certainly was more that I wanted to order are these charming pom-pom slippers! Aren’t these lovely? I had to have a pair and at $14.99 who wouldn’t! They also come in three different colors and I had to have them in the frosted pink. Wonderful right?
I hope that you all enjoyed these simple little finds. These slippers would also make a great gift if any of you are looking for something. Well have a great Monday and remember to look your absolute best today!

New Gray Weekender

Hello Monday and hello new chapter in life. My second step-son graduated from high school this past Saturday morning. Sighing…. Honestly, I can’t believe it. I never thought we would get to this point.

My husband and I are dreaming of Napa Valley trips, dinner in Santa Barbara, walks around Provence, bed and breakfasts hotels. You know… things you can do without children. Our daughter will be a freshman in high school in just a few weeks so that countdown will begin soon.

I was online shopping again… and saw this wonderful weekender at Target. Since my recent online shopping adventures have not been fun, I decided not to order it but take my chances trying to find it.

I searched the Target locations near me but to no avail. Then last weekend I needed to get some thank you note cards to have my step-son fill out and mail so I decided to go to a Target a little further away.

And as fate would have it I saw it in person!

Now when I shop for bags I always carry them around the store to make sure that I like the way it feels and I like the ways it looks on me. I carried this around the entire store and was going to put it back but then I imagined my purse scarf from H&M on it and I thought, “oh that would be pretty on”. I was sold then!

It is a wonderful weekender and can hold everything! I got to see it in black too and it looks really chic. I will warn you these totes are enormous so make sure that this is something you want.

I hope that you all enjoy this wonderful find. It’s very affordable and has a strap for cross-body carrying. It would look wonderful with any suitcase.

Enjoy!!!!

A Few Pieces for Spring

My office at work

Oh my goodness, next week is June. June! This year is flying by. Last weekend we had my step-son’s Open House party and it turned out great! This week was their last week of school so in about 8 weeks our daughter and our last child will be a freshman in high school. Wow…..

I have been so busy that I almost missed the 50% off sale that Ann Taylor had. I barely made it! I only purchased about 3 from my wishlist of 15. I try to get items a little bit at a time. Sometimes I get them and sometimes I don’t!

I try to buy pieces from my wishlist that are “singing to me” and cut down on the bogus shopping. I wanted to share the three pieces that I ordered and I thought about sharing them on my Youtube channel this weekend but we will see.

The first item is…

This beautiful midi skirt in this stunning blue color called windswept. My package arrived yesterday and I was a little apprehensive about this skirt. I love skirts and have been trying to find an elegant blue one for years now. I have not tried it on yet….. but I will.

The second item that I purchased from my wishlist was this dusk blue metallic cardigan. It does have a bit of shimmer to it but looks very comfortable and I think I will love it this spring and summer in those freezing office rooms.
And the last item purchased was this powered rose A-line skirt. It is in a beautiful color and it has been years since I have been able to find a pink skirt. It’s a little short compared to my other skirts but I was willing to give it a try. I have not tried it on yet but we will see.

I don’t know about you but I love light blue and pink together. I don’t know why but I do. I hope that you enjoyed these recent finds. I have a busy weekend ahead of me. I have finished most of my house chores this week but my mother is having a cookout and I have to make banana pudding. I also want to visit the furniture store again. I really need to get my daughter a bed. She still has her twin size bed and each morning I go in to check on her she is literally hanging off of it! It’s horrible. Also, I really want my dining room table and new chairs. We have not been eating at our current table because I just can’t take it anymore. The bar chairs and table are just so uncomfortable now! Also, I really want a new dresser. So with Memorial Day coming, I am hoping that the store will have a sale and it’s great having that extra day to take my time to shop.

I hope you all enjoy your holiday and thank you to all of you who have served. My husband served during Desert Storm and talks about how he made wonderful friendships during that time. Serving in the military is so vital today and the older I get the more I see how keeping our freedoms are so important.

Enjoy!

The Purse Scarf

This was a such a fun find! I was so elated when I saw these on the H&M website! These are called the purse accessory scarfs and they come in a variety of patterns and colors. I purchased two in the store and ordered two online.
The key-chain comes attached to the scarf. How great is that?

I could not tell you how many scarfs I have lost over the years because I did not tie them good enough. I mean I have been seriously heart broken because I lost a silk scarf that should have been double knotted on my bag.
No worries with this and look at how chic it looks. I shared these on my YouTube video that I posted this past Sunday. I can’t want to see what the pink and polka-dot ones look like once they arrived.

I think Elle Woods from Legally Blonde would be very proud! Sorry but I love that movie! Well have a good hump day and stay inspired!

Do you see the purse scarf? This is where I saw it first!

Flowers and Pearls

Good Monday Morning! I just wanted to share a quick little post of some recent finds. I also wanted to say thank you to those of you who are watching my YouTube videos. It is very hard to try to make good quality videos.

With yesterday’s video I got very frustrated with my husband. He just won’t sit still and keeps opening doors and windows and I keep trying to remind myself that he thinks he is helping just let it be. I also feel like I am slouching in the videos and I am trying my hardest not to appear that way.

Then I feel like I should rehearse more but I think with that it would put more pressure on me and I just want to have fun with these so that is the goal! I hope you guys are enjoying them! Okay moving forward….

I saw these beautiful beaded floral earrings on the New York and Company website. The price is great and so is the color! Now keep in mind they are a bit big but if you love large earrings then these are right up your alley!
The next item is this gold-tone faux pearl necklace. It is only $6.99 right now and I shared this on my YouTube video from yesterday. It looks very pretty on and would be a great addition to any wardrobe.

I hope that you enjoyed these small finds and maybe one of these would make a wonderful Mother’s Day gift! I think the pearls would make anyone happy!

Enjoy!

Mark & Graham

The one thing that I LOVE about blogging and other bloggers is how everyone shares information! I was reading Shannon Ables blog and she mentioned this very chic company called Mark & Graham. She shared a beautiful photo of their boarding bags and oh my was I smitten!

How chic is this? Fantastic right? This is the Concourse Boarding Bag in white. This is absolutely exquisite. You can also add a monogram to it and who wouldn’t. I think “SMS” would look fantastic on this bag.
These bags are incredible! Another bag that I saw on the website is their Caroline Leather bag.
Isn’t this bag attractive? It looks like it is tastefully done and would be able to remain in your closet for eternity.
After looking at all of their bags I then ventured off and looked at jewelry and home accessories.
This is an elegant marble and wood board and would look lovely on my table for a New Year’s Eve celebration.
I could go on and on but you can take your own adventure on the website and find more wonderful things to fall in love with. I am seriously considering buying that concourse boarding bag in white. I think that would be so elegant in the fall with a chunky sweater, pearls, and some Chanel perfume. I hope that you enjoyed this post and this elegant new company!

Floral Satin Scarf

Finding a great satin scarf is a wonderful thing. I love finding a beautiful scarf each spring. This was a stupendous find! It is gorgeous and under $15! How great is that?
The colors are tasteful and the flowers are very attractive.
I wore this the entire time I was in D.C. It went well with all of my outfits.
Goodness, I can’t believe that it is Friday again and Good Friday at that. I am keeping things simple for Easter dinner. I am making my crock-pot chicken with Campbell’s cream of chicken soup, buttery mashed potatoes, green beans, and some crescent rolls. I hope my store gets some stock in of baby’s breath. I love having that around this time. It gives off a light fragrant scent. I plan on having small vases of that as centerpieces for the table.  I hope that you all have a wonderful Easter and celebrate Christ.
Enjoy!
