Elegant Clothes and Feminine Accessories

Early Fall Favorites ~2015

Now that fall is officially here it is time to start taking a peek at fall fashion and accessories. I am sorry but I love the fall!!!! Nothing wrong with summer but it is just too hot for me!

Finding classic, elegant shoes has been a job for the last few months. I really didn’t find to many sandals that I loved or heels but I stumbled on some great slip~ ins a few months ago.

I did a search on Google for leopard shoes and found these great slip~ in mules at Target!! I love them!! They are so comfortable and they go with everything. The price was reasonable and I adore them. I grab them on the weekends and run my errands and I still look great!

The second item that I love is this Anya Faux-Fur Snood from Chico’s. It is so chic and I can see myself wearing it with some of my classic white shirts and pearls.

Recently, I purchased a pair of Gucci sunglasses and fresh water pearls. I waited 1 year to purchase the pearls and 5 years to purchase the Gucci sunglasses. I saw Sandra Bullock wear a pair of incredibly chic Gucci sunglasses in the movie called the “Blind Side”.

And last but certainly not least my next fall favorite is my Louis Vuitton Sac Plat tote. I purchased this a few months ago and I love it. I have always wanted a Louis Vuitton and I purchased my bag from Tradesy. I wrote about it a few months ago, see it here if you missed it.

Buying Luxury Bags

I started buying designer bags around 2010. I was influenced by my mother in law. I had just attended a giant flea market and of course, they were selling replica handbags. I purchased about 4 replica Coach bags. I was so excited about these purchases that I wanted to show my mother in law.

She looked at the bags and asked how much I had paid for them. I told her and she looked at me and said, ” For what you spent on these four bags you could have taken your money and added about $50 more and purchased the real thing”. When she said that it hit me like a ton of bricks because honestly, she was right.

The quality of the replica bags does not and can never compare to the “real” thing. So I took my mother in law’s advice and started purchasing quality handbags. That was 5 years ago and I have not looked back since. I love having my higher quality handbags.

I have Coach, 3 Kate Spade, 3 Michael Kors, and one Dooney & Bourke. I have recently added Louis Vuitton to my collection!!! I am so excited about my Louis!!! My grandmother had them in the 80’s but when she died in 1999 her bags came up missing. We still don’t know where they are to this day.

Tradesy helped me in accomplishing my goal of owning a Louis Vuitton. Tradesy is a company that allows sellers and buyers to purchase and sell designer accessories. Tradesy stands by their company policy which is ” knockoff’s are a no, no”! I spoke with a rep twice before making my purchase. I also communicated with the seller. She was absolutely wonderful. The process was easy and the payment arrangements are great! If you visit Tradesy and have your eye on a beautiful handbag you don’t have it pay it all at once. You can opt for the payment plan option with Affirm.

It is painless and easy. I highly recommend it if that is the way you want to go. But I do want to say that it is credit driven so if all is well in that arena for you then start your payment plan and enjoy your luxury handbag!

Tips for Great Style

After I read a book I always go through it again for a recap. While scrolling through Jennifer L. Scott’s book Lessons from Madame Chic I stumbled upon some tips she gave for dressing well. I love these simple yet truthful tips. I can honestly say that I think this way every time I dress myself. Enjoy the tips!

~ Only wear clothes because you love them, they look great on you, and they reflect who you are.

~ Define your true style to help guide you when shopping.

~ Think of how you want to present yourself to the world every time you get dressed.

~ Listen to your instinct about your style. Deep down you know if something works or doesn’t work.

My Floral Sandals

Looking for floral sandals this season has been hard! I love floral prints, especially sandals!! My ideal summer wardrobe is a white lace shirt, black skirt and floral sandals. I just think that look is so fresh and chic.

I did a long and hard search on Amazon and stumbled across these beauties. I was a bit apprehensive about ordering them but I have been so please with the way they fit and how they look that I am considering ordering a second pair! They are just lovely.

They are called the Brieten Rhinestone Sandal
They come in 4 different colors.

My Studded BCBG Heels

These shoes have been on the scene for awhile now. I must admit I got sucked into them too. But they are just too fabulous to ignore. The Valentino Rockstud Pump turns heads wherever it is!!! But honestly and truly not many of us can afford the $995 price tag!

I have been on the hunt for a “cheaper version” for sometime now. I found maybe two pair that were close but not close enough. But this weekend I stumbled on a pair that are so close to the original Valentino pair I just could not pass them up.
I found the BCBGeneration Darron Pump at DSW this pass weekend!! I posted them on my facebook page and got a lot of comments! They are well liked by all. If you love the Valentino Rockstud pump as much as I do but don’t want to pay the $995 price tag these could be your next best option. See below and enjoy!!!!

They look great and are super comfortable!!
