Items that I loved for the month

February Favorites ~ 2022

And there goes February….. today is actually our 18 year Wedding Anniversary! I still can’t believe that I have been married that long. 18 years married, 19 years together. Goodness… I knew this next chapter of my life would be a bit different. With my step-sons in their mid-twenties, life is beginning to take on something different. I just pray and hope that we can enjoy it! Now on to my favorites for the month of February…

First on my list is one of my new book purchases. I actually just recorded a new video on my Youtube channel about my books. I will link it below.

The second was my solo lunch at the Rustic Root. I will be doing this again soon!

Third, are my gorgeous Born on the 5th sandals from Dillards! Just look at the photos. Need I say more?

Fourth are wonderful storage solutions that I found on Amazon. The first are these hydrangea storage bowls. They come in 4 different sizes and all of them have lids.

Here is the second set of storage bowls. These are actually good to store your produce in. I have been using them for my grapes. Each container has a strainer to help wash and drain your produce. I absolutely LOVE these! I am so glad that I ordered them. They come in a set of 3!

Fifth are my new antiques that I purchased from a new store that I found. I actually shared these on my Youtube channel. I purchased the glass perfume bottle, vintage brooch, and vintage hand mirror. A few of my followers on Youtube gave me lots of wonderful ideas for the perfume bottle. We will see what I end up using it for.

The sixth is this super cute reusable floral cup from a boutique called Morning Lavender. I use cups like this when I am running errands and want to take my hot tea with me or some orange juice. Just wash it out and put it back in your cabinet when you are done!

And last is my new leopard rug from Amazon. I can’t believe how much I love this thing. I saw it on Emily from Chic as a Mother’s LTK feed. I think it looks so wonderful with my grandmilliennial decor and blue and white. It feels a little more up-to-date and fun!

January Favorites ~ 2022

Good Morning,

I hope everyone had a restful weekend! On Friday I came home drank a glass of wine and relaxed. My husband picked up my favorite dinner from the Cheesecake Factory and it was a really good night!

On Saturday I took my shoes in for repair, went antiquing and grocery shopping. I found some wonderful finds at the antique store.  I will share them later. For right now let’s get into my favorites for the first month of 2022!

First on my list is this gorgeous blue and white scarf from Amazon! I still can’t believe that this beautiful accessory came from Amazon. You know they do surprise me sometimes.

Second is this elegant hair clip from Jefferson Lane. I knew when I ordered it that I was going to turn it into a brooch. I just added a brooch pin to the back and viola! An elegant piece for my wardrobe.

Third are my chinoiserie-inspired teacups and new teapot from HomeGoods! I still can’t believe that my location had these! I had the biggest smile on my face when I spotted them on the shelf. I have been using them ever since. I wish I could find the link for them but I found this one and this one on Amazon. I did manage to find this coffee mug as well.

It has been REALLY cold here in Indy and so I pulled out my faux mink coat that I found during the summer at H&M for only (and get this) $44! What a steal! This coat is so warm! I love it so much. My coat is sold out but QVC has this one, this one, and this one

Fifth has been my floral tights from Target. They are back in stock!!! You better hurry and order your size!

The sixth has been this incredibly chic and vintage-inspired soap dish from Amazon! It is super heavy and amazingly good quality! It was under $20!

Seventh is my winter antiquing trip that I just took. I will share my finds later this week! If you follow me on Instagram I posted a reels video on my feed.

And lastly are my new Coach heels. I have been stalking these online for a while. They do have a pair that is on sale and they are here. There are more items that are on my favorites list but this list would get too long and I have already posted most of them on my blog.

Oh I almost forgot. Last weekend we had our monthly Chic Society Zoom call and I enjoy these so much. I did learn about a new Youtube channel called Lazy Dancer Tips. I am really enjoying this channel. It is helping me so much with my posture, how I stand, and how I sit. My favorite video has been the “Look More Elegant with 3 Simple Tips”. I hope you all enjoy this video and this month’s favorites. Have a wonderful Monday and stay warm!

December Favorites ~ 2021

Good Morning,

I feel like I am the only person on the planet who has not taken down their Christmas tree. All of my friends have shared that they have already taken down their trees but then I was reminded that I have 3. That’s completely different. I will be leaving the office early on Thursday to get started on taking them down. I did order a new flocked tree! I am so excited. Every time I order a new tree I donate an old one. I am also going to be adding some new decor. I want more ribbon and some velvet bows for my trees next year. I will be getting those ordered here soon.

Okay time to share my favorites list for December. I can’t believe it’s the last week of 2021!

Okay, I could not help it! I had to get these and I have no regrets! They are gorgeous in person. I love them so much. The fabric is so rich and sophisticated. It is a timeless shoe seriously! I hope Tory continues with these kinds of designs! I wish I could get this fabric on one of her totes!

The second is my chinoiserie-inspired scarf. I shared it on the blog here. I believe it is still sold out but I would keep an eye on the website if you are interested!

Third is my Christmas cactus. It begin to bloom in late November and then by early December I had this. It turned out so wonderful this year. My old supervisor gave this to me in 2016. It was the smallest little plant and I am so proud that I have been able to grow it to this size. I hope that I can continue to keep it alive.

Fourth is my beautiful Nutcracker! I found her while grocery shopping. I saw the hair and thought, oh my she looks very similar to me. I think she is gorgeous and is a wonderful addition to my Nutcracker collection!

The fifth has been the poinsettia that I had in our bedroom. It added such a Christmas feel and was a beautiful arrangement to have. I would recommend you get one for your bedroom next time!

Sixth has been this year’s wrapping paper. I love the colors and the velvet ribbon that I used. It looked so sophisticated.

And the last is my new Van Gogh Irises picture frame that I picked up at the Newfields Museum after my tour of the Lilly Manor. Once I saw it I knew that it would be a great addition to my office!

Okay, I almost forgot this! I don’t know how I have not seen this on Youtube! This movie was directed by Karl Lagerfeld and was released on Youtube in 2013! If you are a Chanel fan you will enjoy this immensely. It is only 30 minutes but is deliciously elegant!

Oh, one more. I found so many wonderful things to watch on Youtube this month! I found this wonderful Youtuber to follow. Her channel is AMAZING! She lives in Paris and takes you on her brocante flea market excursions and she recently toured the Ritz Hotel in Paris. Oh, magnifique!

I binged watched her channel after Christmas! It was wonderful!

Well, that does it for my December favorites and the end of 2021! Goodness, the years are going by too fast. The boutique does have a new plus-size arrival. The Flora Ruffle Blouse is available for purchase! I am so happy to finally have a plus-size blouse for the boutique finally! I do hope that you all are enjoying the boutique. We will see how year 2 goes!

November Favorites ~ 2021

Good Morning Everyone!

I for one am planning on a very quiet weekend! I seriously just want to stay home and look at design books and watch My Fair Lady! I am going to make every effort I can to make this happen.  Alright now time for my November favorites…..

First is my beautifully scented Tory Burch candles.

I love both of these scents! The lettuce ware candle is inspired by the iconic potter Dodie Thayer. The scent is jasmine and gardenia. It is so lovely. The second candle is called the Normandy Rose Candle and it smells just like a bouquet of roses. The candle does come out of the gold case so you can use it for anything you like.

Second, on my list is…

This stunning travel case from Aerin Lauder. I actually ordered this two months ago and forgot to share it! This is a limited edition Aerin, Colefax and Fowler collaboration. I love the delicate hydrangea motif and romantic hues. I just purchased the travel case and I don’t think it’s available anymore by itself.  I believe the round cosmetic bag is still available.

The third is my new carpet in my home. Goodness, I could not love it more!

Fourth are my holiday shoes for this season. I can’t believe all of the beautiful purchases that I made. I have certainly enjoyed wearing all of them.

Fifth are my new boutique arrivals! I adore the rose pearl shawl. I did not know this but it is 20% cashmere! I was so happy when I read the tag! And the Charlotte Velvet Midi is such a classy holiday dress. You will be able to wear it for years to come! There is a lot of stretch in this dress. I actually had the sizes listed wrong! Oops sorry, but I have extended the Black Friday sale. Use code blackfriday21 for 20% off!

And the last favorite are my ginger jar tea sticks from Simply Jessica Marie.

I love them both! I purchased this set here and I love them! My favorite is the Wedgewood vase with peonies. Isn’t it beautiful? These are so cute and different. I love finding different items for the home or to assist me in any kind of elegant living. That means a lot to me…. elegant living.

I hope you all enjoyed my favorites this month. Have a wonderful weekend!

October Favorites ~ 2021

Good Morning,

As the days have been passing I am becoming more excited. I am getting new carpet! Oh my goodness you guys can’t imagine how excited I am. We have had our carpet for 8 years (since we built our home) and we are so overdue. Our carpet is in pretty bad shape. I am thinking about if I want to share the before and after. It’s pretty bad. It is suppose to arrive on Friday so fingers crossed!

Alright let’s get into my favorites for the month of October….

I am loving my vintage nightstands! These have been such a blessing to my husband and I! We had mismatched tables as our nightstands and that never really bothered me. What bothered me was my husband’s nightstand. It was small, low to the ground, and had no surface space or storage. I think he loves his new table! I wrote about them here.

Second is my Jasperware vase. I found this during my staycation earlier this month at an antique store. I only paid $35 for it!

The third is my gorgeous chinoiserie-inspired tissue holder! This is a stunning piece to have in your home or office. I wrote about it here.

The fifth is this classic and beautiful mirrored chinoiserie-inspired picture. I found this at the At Home store. It is lovely in person. You should really check out the Grace Mitchell line at the At Home store. You can order things online as well.

Sixth is my English garden-inspired Tory Burch tote. I still can’t believe that I found this beautiful bag for only $200! I have carried it non-stop. I received so many compliments on it. It’s truly a grandmillienial tote! I wrote about it here.

The seventh item was my What’s in my Bag video for the month. Despite my technical difficulties, I had a lot of fun recording this video. It was quite enjoyable and easy. I plan on recording a new video here shortly.

And the last favorite for the month, (even though I have more), has been the Stacie Flinner blog.

Captured at on May 09, 2020 by Stacie Flinner Photography.

I have enjoyed this blog so much! I love Stacie’s style and have been truly inspired by her. Well, another month’s favorites post down for the books. I still can’t believe that it is going to be November soon. I have to start turkey hunting as well. Have a great Wednesday!

September Favorites

Good Morning,

I had a really good weekend. The weather was lovely and I sent off some international packages from the boutique! How exciting! I hope everyone enjoys their items. I got my week planned and did a little antique shopping. It was really nice. Alright, although I can’t believe that I am saying this, let’s get into my September favorites….

First are my gorgeous grandmillennial earrings that I purchased from Hemingway & Hardy. I wrote about them here

Second, are these lovely pair of black pumps that I found on DSW. They are absolutely lovely and so comfy.

Third has been my autumn decor. I don’t have much but I did add these super chic pumpkin pillows to my collection. HomeGoods is always to the rescue!

The fourth have been these absolutely delicious maple cream cookies that I found at Cracker Barrel. They are so good you guys! Oh my goodness they are such a treat! I highly recommend them! I found a second brand that might be pretty close.

Fifth are these outstanding dresses that I found online at Target. I love the mauve color and wine. I had to have them both. I have already worn the mauve and loved it. It looked wonderful with my crystal button cardigan.

The sixth item is my peony vintage-inspired nightgown from Von Maur. I wrote about it on the blog here

Seventh, are my beautiful and so life-like peonies that I found at HomeGoods. They bring me absolute bliss whenever I walk into our bedroom. They are so extravagant yet simple. I adore them!

And last but certainly not least are my new Emma mules from New York & Company. It has been a while since I have ordered from here and I must say that I am very pleased with these! They are very elegant and easy to walk in.

I hope you all enjoyed this month’s favorites. My 39th birthday will be tomorrow and I must say that I am very blessed to be here. With everything going on in the world being alive is certainly a wonderful thing to enjoy. I also wanted to let everyone know that the boutique’s new plus-size cardigan is available for purchase. Enjoy your Monday!
