Items that I loved for the month

July Favorites ~ 2021

Good Morning Everyone,

It’s Wednesday and the boutique’s new arrivals are here! I can’t wait to share them. It is also Lauren’s first day back to school. Oh my goodness, we are starting junior year. I pray for a beautiful year for her and us. It’s the end of July already so let’s get into my favorites for the month, shall we?

First on my list is this beautiful fragrance by Bath and Body Works. I wrote about this earlier this month. I am still loving this scent and spray our bed with it often. You should get a bottle for yourself.

The second was the beautiful and inspiring vlog from Hill House Vintage. I hope you guys are following Pauline. She is truly an inspiration! I hope you all enjoy the video.

Third, on my list was our trip to the zoo. It has been a long time since we have taken Lauren but it was quite enjoyable. I wore the boutique’s green garden maxi, flats, and a sun hat. We also went with Lauren’s bestie and her parents. It was a great day!

The fourth was a huge surprise to me. Rosenda a wonderful blogger and Youtuber recorded a beautiful video of the boutique’s Claire dress! I have watched this over and over. I love it! I only have one dress left! Grab it soon!

Sixth was this gorgeous and I do mean gorgeous floral scarf from Tory Burch!

Isn’t it stunning? I can’t wait to wear it this fall and winter. I am sorry to report that this has sold out but she does have a second one

Next are my beautiful roses from Costco. These were especially beautiful and really fragrant this month. I enjoyed them tremendously.

Seventh is my shockingly beautiful Amazon throw! It is super comfy and the pink is beautiful! It comes in several other colors and sizes. This is the shag texture.

Eighth is my super delicious dinner from the Cheesecake Factory. I normally get the parmesan-crusted chicken with mashed potatoes. This time I really wanted something different. So I got the parmesan-crusted salmon with lemon sauce. Oh, my word. It was wonderful! I said yum the entire time I was eating it. So darn good!

And the last item is this beautiful photo from Tuft and Trim

I am in love with the vintage couch! The chinoiserie pattern is stunning! You should read the blog post to get more of the details. I hope you all enjoyed my favorites for July. I can’t believe we are almost halfway through the year. Goodness, 2021 is going to be gone before you know it. Have a great Wednesday!

June Favorites ~ 2021

Good Morning Everyone,

It’s a little early to be sharing my June Favorites but I wanted to post it early since I was so late for the month of May. Let’s jump right in….

My first favorite for this month was my new business cards! I designed these myself on the Vistaprint website. I love the way they turned out and it’s great to be able to pass them out when someone gives me a compliment!

The second is this ruffle midi dress that I ordered from Amazon.  I was a little apprehensive about ordering it but it fits great! It’s very lightweight and will be great for the summer. It comes in 4 other colors.

Third is my first etiquette book! I ordered this from Amazon and have not had a chance to read it. It is packed with etiquette tips for every part of life. The book is huge and I hope to share some tips from it soon.

Fourth are my new Vivian pearl drop earrings. These are so sophisticated on and I have worn them to the office already. I am very proud of the accessories that I have for the boutique. I pray that with each order I get better.

Fifth are my (new to me) vintage chairs that I purchased from Facebook Marketplace. I have been enjoying these chairs so much. They are so beautiful! I already have one quote to change the fabric on them but I am seriously considering just having them cleaned and then just added a different fabric on the back.

Sixth is my weekly salmon dinners. I love making this dish and eating it. It is my absolute favorite. I buy my salmon from Costco. It already comes with the dill butter on it. I just add extra virgin olive oil, more dill, salt, and pepper. So good!

My seventh favorite is my quilted chain tote from Walmart. I still can’t believe that this was only $40! I have it in mauve and black. This is the tan color and it is lovely as well. I really love the interior color. It’s very chic.

And last on my list was this lovely video and photo from Shelby at Life at Gracehall. I was so happy that she loved the garden tassel pouch from the boutique. I am always excited when someone shares a photo of an item that they received! It lets me know that I am on the right track. I only have one pouch left and I will not be re-stocking it. Most of the items in the boutique will not be restocked.

I hope you all enjoyed my June favorites. We will see what July brings. Thanks for reading!

May Favorites ~ 2021

Good Morning Everyone,

I completely forgot to share my May favorites for this year with you guys! I have been so focused on other things that I almost missed May completely. Oops… so here we go with my favorites for the month of May…

My first favorite is this new faux floral arrangement that I found at T.J. Maxx. This photo does not do it justice. It is gorgeous and large in person. I have it in my new office space.

The second was my surprise gift box of goodies from a fellow reader. If you want to read it you may do so here

Third is my new watercolor print from an Etsy shop called, “A Thing Created”. I have gotten tons of compliments on this piece. Even my step-son likes it. If you wish to read about this you may do so here.

Fourth is my Chanel-inspired necklace from Etsy. This necklace is only $25 and looks beautiful in person. It’s a wonderful classic piece of jewelry to have in your closet.  The seller has them in two different colors.

The fifth is the Claire cream midi dress from my boutique. I love this dress and believe it is the perfect white dress. I was so excited when I opened the box and saw it. The dress sale is still going on right now!! I may extend it a little while longer. Make sure that you check it out!!!

Sixth is my peacock trinket tray from Anthropologie. It’s such a classic accessory to have. It would look fabulous anywhere and you can use it for holding just about anything.

The seventh is my azalea bush from the Biltmore. My husband and I were so proud when this began to bloom this month. Now all of the blooms are gone and we are excited about next year and we hope that it gets bigger!

Eight is the Audrey Ruffle Maxi from my boutique. I can’t tell you how excited I am to have a plus-size dress so beautiful. It fits wonderfully and I am trying my hardest now to keep one. It is a beautiful dress and would be great to have in your closet and ready for this surprise events.

May would not be the same without my peony visit. This was my ninth favorite. My visit and purchase of this year’s peonies from JP Parker Florist. You may read about my visit here.

The coral peonies were sensational this year. So full of color!

The tenth favorite for this month was this little ootd (outfit of the day) that I put together. I loved all of the colors and accessories that I wore with my very own boutique dress! The green garden maxi is on sale right now in my boutique and has a lot of room! My Tory Burch tote is here and my headband is here if you are interested.

And last but certainly not least is my very own garden of peonies! I was so proud of my peonies this year! That did so well and multiplied! They smelled wonderful and looked great in some of my bouquets.

Wow, May is over already and here we are starting June! I hope you all enjoyed my favorites for this month. Please don’t forget about the dress sale that is still going on. Later on this month our HOA will be having its yearly garage sale and I thought about setting up my boutique in my driveway! I thought that would be a great way to have exposure and to sell some more of my items. I will share it with you guys when it gets closer. So if you have something from the boutique that you are interested in you may want to consider it. Who knows it just might be gone once I have the pop-up shop!

Have a great Wednesday!

April Favorites ~ 2021

Good Morning Everyone,

I hope everyone had a great weekend! I didn’t do too much. Just ran some errands, did a few house chores, did some website work, and of course, got things ready for my Mother’s Day Sale which begins today! The boutique’s first Mother’s Day sale will start today and end on May 7th. It will run for two weeks! Just use code MTDY25 for 25% off your entire order and that is for everything in the boutique except for the Beverly tote which will not be ready until Thursday (I hope)!

Also, you should be able to pay with your credit card or debit without a Paypal account! Yay! I hope you all can purchase something that you have had your eye on for some time. Now on to my April Favorites.

First on my list is my Tory Burch tote and beautiful hand-painted scarf. I wrote about it here. I have gotten so many compliments on this bag! It is truly one of a kind.

The second was my Easter tablescape. I truly enjoyed Easter this year and was very happy with the meal I prepared and the company we shared this beautiful holiday with.

Third is my new Day Designer for the second half of the year. As most of you know this is the only planner that I use to organize my personal life and I love it! I have been using the Day Designer since 2014 and would recommend this planner to anyone! It’s wonderful!

Fourth, was my delicious apple and spinach salad that I made for a family dinner this month. I am still thinking about it! It was so good and the Fuji apples were flawless.

Fifth is this wonderful home tour from Susan Lucci! I have watched this video over and over on Youtube and wanted to share it!

Sixth are my beautiful new faux arrangements from HomeGoods. I wish I had a link for these but HomeGoods is just not offering online shopping now. Sorry!

Seventh is my recent promotion. I still cannot believe that I am a paralegal supervisor. It just baffles me! I had so many opposing thoughts and was just not sure if I would ever get it but I did and I am so excited about this new journey! I will share a few photos of my new office soon. There is a con to it. I don’t have any windows which is sad but the location is so much better than where I am and it is bigger!

And last on my list is my Youtube collaboration with the beautiful Rosenda from the Little Pink Casa! I hope you all got to watch her beautiful video! I was so proud of my boutique’s dresses and for my beautiful friend’s hard work in that video. It was a wonderful collaboration and I hope to do another one for the fall with her!

I hope you all enjoyed my favorites for the month of April. Don’t forget to shop the boutique and enjoy the Mother’s Day Sale code. If you have any questions please comment below or use the Contact page to send an email. Have a wonderful Monday!

March Favorites ~ 2021

Good Morning Everyone,

This is going to be a busy week for me. I actually have to be in the office every day this week so we will see how things go. If you follow me on Instagram then you would have seen that I visited the Tory Burch store here in my city this weekend. The staff was absolutely outstanding and the store was GORGEOUS! I will be sharing photos from my visit this week.

Now onto my March Favorites. There are quite a few this month so bear with me….

First on my list are my quilted travel totes from Amazon. I have this in black and mauve and adore both of them! I was really shocked at the quality of these totes especially since they are only $35! It’s a great purchase. I don’t regret either one!

Second, on the list is my beside carafe from H&M. I have been wanting one of these for some time now and to find one for under $20 was wonderful! The quality of this carafe was surprisingly good! I can’t believe how heavy it is for $18! I think it is definitely worth the purchase.

Third on my list are my new casserole pans from Amazon! What a great find these were. I saw them on a fellow blogger’s LIKEtoKNOWit account and purchased them. I have used them already for roasting veggies. They are very easy to clean and easy on the eyes. Plus the price will amaze you!

Fourth on my list is my beautiful chinoiserie-inspired rug from Target. It is now sold out!! I hope they re-stock it. It is a gorgeous decor item. I smile every time I walk into my office/boutique.

photo credit: Mrs. Shockley (I wrote about it here)

Fifth on my list are the beautiful flower bouquets that I pick up every week at Kroger. I can not start my week without a bouquet or two. If you don’t want to spend a whole lot on flowers then try the astromelias. They are beautiful when they are open, cheap, and take a while to die. I hope you can find some.

Sixth on this list is my Wedgewood piece and venetian mirror that I picked up at the antique store. I paid about $65 for both. They are both so beautiful!

Seventh is my boutique launch. My clothing boutique launched officially on March 9th and I have been so over the moon with it. There are so many things that I want from my vendors but I am trying to take it slow. I already looking into other pieces for summer and I already have a few autumn dresses that I want to sell. I hope I can continue with this journey.

Eighth on my list is my stunning and incredibly chic pearl bracelet from JCrew! Oh my goodness, it has been years since I have purchased a pearl bracelet. Don’t get me wrong I have been looking but did not find one until recently. This bracelet is so easy to put on and adjust and it’s gorgeous! I think it is still on sale if you are interested.

Ninth on my list is the new jasmine scent from Philosophy. Now in the past when I would smell a jasmine scent in a perfume I would never like it. This I LOVE! It is perfect. It is the perfect scent for spring and summer. I even spray it on at night when I am climbing in bed. You should definitely go and try to give it a whiff.

Tenth on my list are my stunning spotted bow slingbacks from Ann Taylor! These have been getting some serious daily wear! I mean aren’t they chic? The kitten heel is perfect, the bow is wow, and they are so comfy to get around in. I was so happy that they re-stocked them! Get them while you can!

Eleventh, (I can’t believe I am still going), on my list are my Kate Spade bridal sparkle pumps. Now I purchased mine from Von Maur and they are still on sale. I don’t care if they are bridal pumps. I think they are just stunning and had to get them.

Twelfth, on the list is my new bedding. I found new a bedding set at HomeGoods and of course, I can’t find the link for it. I am loving the sage green. I just wanted something different. Nothing wrong with the white but I wanted something a little richer. It’s incredibly soft and incredibly beautiful! The floral pillow covers are from H&M.

And last on my list is my vintage nightgown from Amazon! I can hear the hallelujah chorus! I love this gown! I know it may not be for everyone but it sure is for me and I have the matching housecoat! If you are looking for a light but still covered nightgown then this may be for you. I know it’s a little expensive but having beautiful nightwear is so worth it! It does come in plus sizes! It goes all the way up to a 3x!!! I also love my house slippers. I ordered them in the wine and navy as well.

I hope you all enjoyed my enormous favorites list for this month. I have more things but this list is already long. I may incorporate some of those favorites into my April list. I hope you all have a great Monday and take care!

February Favorites ~ 2021

It’s the end of February already! Well Good Morning Everyone!

I am sharing my favorites for February and honestly, I have so many but before I give you my list I wanted to share that this Sunday will be our 17th year wedding anniversary! Honestly, it shocks me every year that we are still married. And please hear my heart I am not saying that my marriage is horrible. I am just saying wow…. we are making it. Thank you Lord!

Also, our daughter will be turning 16 (I can’t believe it) and my step-son will be turning 21! Sheesh!

Well let’s get into my favorite things for February….

I can not get enough of my porcelain tissue holder. I wrote about this earlier this month. It is such a beautiful piece. I did find one similar if you are interested.

A second favorite are my floral shears from Amazon. These have been amazing! I love pulling them out and using them every week. I feel like I am a florist in a flower shop cutting my beautiful flowers with these sharp floral shears.

The third favorite has been the Tide Studios Delicate wash. This detergent smells so good and I have noticed that my delicates are a bit softer. I have been using it for the entire month and I am enjoying it so far! I use it to wash my clothes every week.

Fifth has been my gorgeous cell phone case from Jamie Beck. These phone cases are one of a kind. They feature the photography of Jamie Beck herself. She has an impressive and beautiful Instagram account.

The sixth were my beautiful peonies! You guys should have seen my face when I walked into the floral side of the grocery store and spotted these! I shrieked. I shrieked so loud that a man nearby thought I was doing it because of him. I calmly told him, umm no. I am shrieking at the flowers. Not you, move along.

Seventh are my floral storage boxes from the Christmas Tree Shop. Now I can’t seem to find these on the website and I don’t think that you can order online. If you have a store nearby go and take a look. They have a lot of home decor for really cheap prices! These boxes were only $6.99 each.

The eighth has been my cell phone stand for my desk. I LOVE this thing! Oh my goodness, this has been such a game-changer for me. I love having my phone easily accessible and being able to have the changer attached is just awesome! I purchased two! I had to have one for my regular job office and home office. It comes in four different colors. This was so worth $13!

And last on my list has been my online boutique. I can’t tell you guys how much this new adventure means to me. I love walking into my office in the mornings and seeing this in the corner. Oh it really does just light up my heart! So happy with this. I just hope that the clothes are well received. We are putting the final touches on everything. I am working with my web designer this week to get this set up on the website. I will let you guys know soon when it is ready.

I hope you all enjoyed my favorites for this month! Thanks for reading!

January Favorites ~ 2021

And Good Monday Morning,

I hope everyone had a great weekend! We got snow again and I went to the grocery store and picked up some Queen Anne’s Lace. I love it here in my office. It’s lovely.

Well, let’s get into my favorites for this month of January.

I going to start off with one of my favorite movies The Wedding Planner with Jennifer Lopez. This movie was free for several months and I watched it several times. I remember when I first got this movie on VHS. I was about 19 and my boyfriend at the time knew that I loved this movie so he bought it for me. I studied this movie every time I watched it and here I am 20 years later and still finding wonderful details to admire.

Okay, I don’t know how I missed this but has anyone noticed the beautiful and chic pillowcases that J. Lo had in her room? OMG! It could be because in previous times I was paying attention to her clothes and shoes and not her decor but now that I am older I am looking at all things.

I LOVE these and have been on the hunt for similar ones!

photo credit: Mrs. Shockley (I froze the movie in order to get these shots!)

Here is another beautiful shot I took from the movie. I love everything about her living room. The champagne striped couch, elegant chairs, gold candlesticks on the fireplace mantel, even the artwork. The room is stunning!

Here is another photo that I took while freezing the movie of her bedroom. I am just loving how simple yet sophisticated it is. Even the wood vintage style nightstands are inspiring. I love the pink/peach color on the walls. That is my future office color.

Second, on my list is my new chinoiserie bathroom! I can’t tell you how satisfying it is to have this lovely room in my home. I have been wanting chinoiserie for years now and to have it is a dream! This door stays open so that every time I walk by or if we are sitting down for dinner I can see it in the distance. It sings to my soul!

Third is my new bar cart from Homedepot. I remember posting about buying a bar cart and putting flowers on it and teacups back in 2014 on the Instagram account. It’s funny how sometimes you can post your dreams and they become a reality.

Fourth is my new full-length mirror that I found at HomeGoods! I only paid $60 for it and it was not what I originally wanted but it does the job and fits into the space I want perfectly. This mirror does stand on its own. It has a folding frame which makes using it anywhere possible. I did find one similar on Amazon and I found this one which looks great as well!

Now I can look at myself before I leave instead of standing on my tippy toes in the bathroom mirror! Plus I get to do more fashion posts. Yay! This tote was on my shopping page.

Fifth is my new coffee table book by Aerin Lauder. I have already started reading it and I have enjoyed the writing so much. I have Aerin’s last book Beauty at Home and consumed that book quickly. There is something so soothing about her writing. The photos are exquisite and the inspiration is unlike any other.

And lastly my sixth favorite is my new silk Coach scarf that I picked up at the Coach Outlet. I could not find my scarf online but I did find this one, and this one for really reasonable prices! One thing I love about this scarf is the colors. I love pink and blue together. I love the horses, and flowers together. It has such a Gal Meets Glam look.

I hope you all enjoyed my favorites for January. I look forward to what February holds!
