My Customized Cell Case

Good Morning Everyone,

I wanted to get this posted right away. There was a lot of interest on my social media accounts so without further ado…..

This is my customized floral cell case holder from Etsy. The price was great and so was the service. This is actually my second order. My original order was in March and it was the week that everything shutdown. The Esty shop that I ordered this from sent it out and we both believe that it got lost in the mail.

So they sent out a second one this month and I was so grateful that they did. They sent it will no problems whatsoever.

My case was designed for my Samsung S9. They make it for several different devices. You just select your device, your pattern cover, and personalization if you want it. This is a photo of the inside. It does have three card slots.

This is the backside. Both sides have the floral design and your name and did you all see the price? Yes, it only cost that much! The only issue is time with shipping. For me, my order was sent out on May 7th and I received it yesterday. There is no tracking number so you will just have to trust the system.

If there is an issue let them know and they will send out a new one. But you have to wait for the 15-20 days before you can request a replacement. That is what I did.

I hope you all enjoyed this great and new find. I have been looking for a new cell case for about a year now and I am glad that I found this company. I am going to wait a bit but I will be ordering a second one. I am thinking about patterns 2 or 5.

Enjoy!

May Favorites ~ 2020

Hello Everyone and Happy Memorial Day!!!

Things sure are different this year. No swimming, visiting people, just hanging out at home and doing some simple grilling. I hope you all are enjoying your families today and thank you to those who have served this country!

Now let’s get into my May favorites. The first is a new item above. I purchased this lovely dark blue garden stool from Target. I have been wanting one with the blue being the major color and the white being the subtle one. It’s so chic!

My second has been my grand hydrangea from QVC. I talked about this in my lastest youtube video. I said that I was going to order another one. I haven’t yet. It’s really big and I would not know where to put a second one.

Third has been the organic raw honey from Costco. I LOVE this stuff! I put a teaspoon sometimes 2 in my hot tea in the mornings. It is so good. I have been buying the package every time we go. I need to slow down on it!

Fourth, has been peonies! Of course, it is peony season! I found these gorgeous stems at the grocery store. I called my local florist to see if they had any and she told me that they are harvesting this week. I can come this week to pick up a few as long as I have my face mask. Not a problem, I can’t wait!
Fifth, has been my new Amazon shredder. I love having a new shredder in my home office. I was able to get old documents shredded. Like our closing documents from our first home, checks from my first bank account, old bills, etc. It has been wonderful having it.

And the last item has become essential, and it’s my face mask from Gossamer.

I saw these on their Instagram page and had to order it. I got two sets and paid I think under $30. They have been comfortable and do the job!

I hope you all enjoyed my favorites for this month. I will try to get a video filmed this week for Youtube. Enjoy your holiday!

A Few Internet Favs

Good Morning Everyone,

I still have not heard of when we might return to the office. I know here in Indy they are canceling a big chunk of our summer concerts and conventions. Some of the tenants (law offices) in our building are not returning until August. So we will see how things go…

I took my Manolo dupes out for a spin. Yes, I wore them to the grocery store, why not? I think it’s the perfect time to “break-in” a shoe.  I love them. So comfy… it was nice having something sparkly and feminine on my feet while I am wearing a hideous mask.

In today’s post I wanted to share a few things on the internet that I just loved. I hope you all enjoy these…

I saw these lovely cards on Facebook from Felix Doolittle. I love his work and I am thinking about ordering a few things. I saw him on the Martha Stewart Show years ago.
I saw these beauties on Instagram. Estee Lauder Lip Repair Potion, it looks like a winner to me! I love their pure envy color. I had a sample last year and loved it!

One of my friend’s daughter started a baking company called The Paint Can Bakery and she does amazing work! She made this cake from scratch for a wedding recently. I adore it and told her I wanted a small one for my birthday. But she doesn’t ship and we live almost 2 hours away!
I can not have a favs post without blue and white. I am following this Instagram account called Shop Splendor in the South. They sell beautiful unique pieces like this tissue holder. I sooo want this but I am trying to find something similar in the home that I can use.

Saw this and had to include it….

I found this company on Instagram while scrolling thru. I don’t follow them. I think it was just an advertisement. The company is called Lo Florist Supplies. They have lots of supplies for parties.

Another great quote! I have had a lot of people say, “oh you can’t hold grudges” and I feel like I am not. I am just trying to keep the crazy people away from me!

I saw this beautiful hat on Poshmark. I had to make an offer. I got it! It’s brand new and from Ann Taylor!

These beauties were on Etsy. I love the cluster vintage pearl look. I got them for $10!
I could not pass up this houndstooth printed JCrew tray. Do you see the price? Yes, I purchased it. It arrived yesterday and looks great on my home office desk. Super chic!

Okay, I could not get enough of Poshmark for the last two weeks. I made an offer on these and they should be arriving this weekend. So lovely…
Lastly, I don’t know if any of you are on Facebook but they are now letting you create your own Avatar. Here is mine. I actually like her. What do you guys think?
Well this was a fun post. I hope you guys enjoyed it. Have a great Memorial Day weekend! We are just keeping things simple. We are going to grill some hamburgers and hotdogs with a few sides. Enjoy your families!

The Manolo Dupe

Good Morning Everyone,

I am so excited to share this item today that I am just going to jump right in!

I am always on the lookout for a good “dupe”. This one is really good.

If you love weddings like I do then you have seen the gorgeous Manolo Blahnik Hangisi pump. You have dreamed about it being on your foot but once you saw that price that dream immediately left you!

The shoe is about $1,000 brand new! I found some gently “used” ones on other resale luxury websites but it is still a whopping $400! No way…

I don’t know how I discovered these but I found these really beautiful “dupe” pairs on the DSW website. They are called the Izzie pump and comes in 5 different colors!

I, of course, had to get them in the light pink. They come in red, black, white and leopard.

They are true to size and are extremely comfortable. I could not believe that I found these. I just love them. And did you see the price??? Only $59.99, umm yes please!
I did find a second pair on the website. These cost a little bit more but are just as beautiful.

I hope you all enjoyed this find. I love a beautiful shoe, especially an affordable one. I hope you all have a wonderful Wednesday.

Grace Rose Farm ~ My Experience

Good Morning Everyone!

I hope you all had a great weekend. My goal was to get more rest. I felt horrible last week. I was going to be bed around 1 and couldn’t get up in the mornings. Then my legs hurt, I just don’t know.

I am enjoying my new organizational tools. Especially my new free standing closet in the laundry room. It is wonderful. I do adore it.

In today’s post, I wanted to share my recent experience with Grace Rose Farms. We all have been seeing their beautiful flowers on Instagram. It seemed as though every beautiful Instagram page that I followed someone was posting their bouquet from them.

I decided to give them a try and ordered the Lovely Mother’s Day Bouquet. It was pretty expensive. The cost of shipping was $25 for the next day because the flowers are perishable.

 The Lovely Mother's Day Bouquet

This is the Lovely Mother’s Day Bouquet that was advertised on the website.

But I wanted to see this for myself. So below is my box when it arrived…..

It arrived early in the morning to give you enough time to get it into water asap.

The beautiful instruction manual.

The instructions tell you to get them into fresh cold water as soon as you get them and let them soak for 2 hours before cutting them.

There is an icepack inside the wrapping with the flowers.

This is what they looked like when I opened them.
Day 1:

After two hours I cut the roses at a 45-degree angle and made sure that the plant food was in the water.

Day 2: They have opened more.

You can smell them more.

Day 3: Gorgeous!

I was really shocked at how much they opened and how they changed by day 3. They were so fragrant. My husband kept smelling them.

This particular bouquet came with this ribbon. I just tied it around my vase.

Day 4: Stunning!

Day 6: WOW!!!

I truly enjoyed this bouquet. The beautiful mixture of the scented roses and the mint. It was just heavenly.

My husband ordered a second bouquet. He ordered the Graceful Mother’s Day Bouquet.

The Graceful Mother's Day Bouquet
It arrived early in the morning in the same box, packed the same way with instructions.

Day 1: What they looked like when the arrived.
I put them in cold water, allowed them to hydrate for 2 hours, then cut them at a 45-degree angle, and just watched.
Day 2: Opening more and lovely

Day 3: Bigger and brighter

Day 4: More fragrant and now the smaller roses are opening.

Day 5: Very happy

I can’t tell you how pleasantly surprised I was with these flowers. They do look so scary when you first open your box. I must admit that I thought I was going to have to send a disappointing email but I didn’t. Their roses held up to the standard and quality that they promise. They are so gorgeous and so fragrant. It was certainly a nice process to watch.

I will be ordering some again. I love receiving flowers that are different. My husband and I were getting very bored with our flowers here in Indy. It is nice to know that there are companies such as this one that provides you with other beautiful floral options. You should order a bouquet when you can.

Thank you for reading!

Blue and White Teacups

Good Morning,

We are finally in the 70’s. I have to admit it has been cold here in Indy. You would have never thought that it would be in the low 30’s at night in May.

Next week more businesses are scheduled to open. I sure do miss Homegoods. I don’t want to go as soon as they open. It is going to be crowded!!!!

I think I mentioned a while ago that I did not have any blue and white teacups. Shocking I know. I have been looking for years but I could never find the pattern that I wanted and as soon as I did find the pattern I wouldn’t like the size of it.

It had to be the perfect combination and I recently found a set on eBay. I made a bid and I did not think I would win because I never do but I did! So exciting!!!

I won a bid for a set of vintage porcelain blue and white cups originally from Japan. I was the only bid and paid under $40 for the set.
They are perfect to me. The perfect size, color, and price. I could not believe that I was the only one bidding on them.

Loving all of the details

Now I have already put them to the test and had a really to cup of tea and they were strong enough to hold it. I have been using them all week. They are so incredibly chic to me.

I did order another blue and white cup before I made a bid on this set and it is beautiful as well.

This is a vintage woods ware teacup with a panoramic scene. The handle is different but it is still quite lovely. It is a wonderful addition to my china collection.

I hope you all have a great weekend. Stay safe and enjoy your homes. Thanks for reading!

Laundry Room Update

Good Morning Everyone,

The days are moving right along. Our salons and barbershops are set to open next week at 25% capacity. So we will see how this next step of transition goes….
Last week I mentioned getting a closet organizer for my laundry room. I am so glad that I did. I truly regret not having cabinets installed in the laundry room while we were building. I really don’t remember why I didn’t. It would have made my life so much easier and come to think of it why did I not have a countertop installed for folding????

Ugghhh, simple things….
So this is my laundry room. It has been like this for the last 7 years. Every time I opened the door and would think to myself, “this needs to be revamped”! It’s not horrible but it is not the greatest.

I knew I needed a spot to hang my clothes to dry and I knew I needed shelving for storage.

Earlier in April I was standing in the room and it just dawned on me….. a closet organizer! That would help with this space. So I went on Amazon and found this free-standing closet.  Above is my husband putting it together. It was really simple to do.

I was so pleased when he finished putting it together. When I saw this online I had already placed every item on the shelf in my head.

I am so happy with the way it turned out. I asked my husband about the cabinets and he said that we could install some later. He also didn’t understand why we did not have any installed. The things you learn over time. Well, I hope you all enjoyed this small little update. Maybe this provided some inspiration for some of you to use a closet organizer for some space in your life.

Enjoy your day!
