Soft Face Cloths
It’s amazing… some of the things I had to learn on my own when becoming a woman. My mother was not into beauty products when I was growing up so a lot of what I have learned has been from reading, asking questions, trial and error.
One of those things has been face cloths. When I was growing up we used the same cloth on our face as our bodies. Not a big deal back then but when you are a teenage girl and you realize where that cloth has been….. you don’t really want to put that on your face.
I remember the day I realize this. I had just finished my bath and was about to start washing my face and I picked up that cloth and I was about to wipe my face with it and I said, ohhhh no this is a bad idea. I need to get some separate cloths for my face. I think I might have been in middle school. So I went to the store the next day and purchased some soft cloths for my face. So happy I started doing that.
I like to purchase baby washcloths to use on my face. They are certainly quite soft, and they are also thin which makes them easy to store and easy to maneuver into the contours around my nose and eyes. The colors and prints aren't sophisticated, of course, but I store them in a bathroom drawer so they aren't on display. Yours are pretty!
Hello Crista,
My teenage daughter still loves her baby wash cloths. I couldn't agree with you more. They are so soft and are easy to store. Hers don't take up much room at all. That is a really good idea to use them for your face. I never thought of that.
Hi Mrs Shockley, happy new year.
I too use wash cloths (flannels) as we call them in England.
I use a fresh one each evening to dry my face after using a face wash to take off my make up.
Thease are really pretty ones you have, I'll have a look in Tk maxx for some.
Have a great week & keep up the lovely blog posts.
Much love

Happy New Year Maria!
Love the fact that you are from England. I have always wanted to visit there. You use a fresh one every night? How fabulous! I would love to know what kind of flannels you find in your local store. Especially since yours is in England!
I use flannels ( we call them that too in Australia ) and I do not buy the prints ! Mind you – yours are lovely.
I only buy white so I know I have taken all the face makeup off. Its a "thing" with me LOL
Can anyone tell me how to keep them soft??? Mine go hard 🙁
Hi LadyJicky,
You call them flannels too? How wonderful! I am learning something new right now from you and Maria. My friend only buys white face cloths also. She likes to see her makeup on hers too. I am not sure how to keep them soft. Mine stay pretty soft for a few years then I have to buy new ones. I just put them in the wash every week.
