What Are You Reading?

Hello Everyone!

It’s been a busy week for me! I think I’m in the clear for right now and things are in order. In today’s post, I wanted to know what you ladies were reading?

Does anyone care to share what books they are reading or what audiobooks you are listening to? I have been toying with the idea of joining Audible. I have heard nothing but good things.

I love the idea of listening to a great novel on my way to the office or on my way home. I try to listen to the world news about twice a week, jazz or classically music the rest.

So please if you would share in the comments section below whatever books, articles, and magazines that you are reading. And if you are using Audible, please share your thoughts and your concerns with us!

Thanks for reading!

    Dear Mrs. Shockley,

I just started The Most Fun We Ever Had by Carol Lombardo and I am on the waiting list at the library for the sequel to The Handmaid's Tale, The Testaments by Margaret Atwood, which FAUX FUSCHIA said is unputdownable.

Let me know what you come across that's good. Like you, I am always looking for a good book to read before I fall asleep.

    Have a good weekend.

    Warmly, Kathleen

      Hello Kathleen,
Ohh I keep hearing about the Handmaid's Tale. I saw the 1990 movie years ago and was a little taken back by it. Please let me know what you think of it Kathleen! You have a good weekend as well.

    Happy Wednesday Mrs. Shockley!

I am reading the latest Victoria magazine. This is a slice of heaven in my life right now. I like to take my time and savor each and every bit of the magazine. I find it very relaxing and the stories are typically short ,which is vital, with 2 young children tugging at my dress at all times. I am also reading English Etiquette, per your recommendation. It's quite interesting and I'm learning a lot. After I complete English Etiquette, I will order Connoisseur Kids. I have been chomping at the bit to buy it, but I will be patient and finish this last book!

      Hello Mya,
I love Victoria magazine! It is a little slice of heaven and it does take you away for a moment. You are reading the English Etiquette? How wonderful! I am still reading that too but I am wanting a novel of some sort. I am thinking about reading a Year in Provence but we will see. I do need to order Jennifer's new book. I am such a fan of her books also. If you get it before me let me know your thoughts.

    Dear Mrs. Shockley,
I so enjoy reading your blog and watching your You Tube videos. My favorite magazines are Victoria, The English Home and The English Garden. I look forward to the end of day when I can get in bed and lose myself in these beautiful magazines and a cup of tea. Right now I am reading Victoria by Daisy Goodwin. I'm looking forward to seeing what everyone else is reading!

      Hello Lisa,
Oh thank you for reading my blog and watching my videos. Being in front of a camera is not fun. I am trying to continue but I am finding it hard to do so. I love the English Home and Garden magazines. I don't see those often in our stores. They only place I can find a copy is in our Barnes and Noble store. I am watching the Victoria series on the PBS channel. I am looking forward to the next season! Thanks so much for stopping by!

    Dear Mrs. Shockley,

I have decided to start reading the “Anne of Green Gables” series. So far, it has been a delight to read! I find myself laughing out loud at times. Another wonderful two book series that I recently finished was “Eight Cousins” and “Rose in Bloom” by Louisa May Alcott. Such classic, wholesome novels!

    Sincerely,
    Louisa
