A Wish~ A Friend Overseas…

Good Morning Wednesday,

Today is my husband’s grandmother’s funeral. It will not be a fun day but it will be a day of healing and peace. She is at rest now and I hope she enjoys heaven.

A few weeks ago I was thinking about all of the places that I want to travel to. I want to see Europe of course but I also thought about the pyramids in Egypt. Would I like to see those? There are so many places in the world that one would want to see.

That got me thinking about a friend. Having a friend in a different country. I would love to have a friend (a very trustworthy and beautiful friend) who would be willing to share their country with me. I just recently had a friend move to London but you never want to be overbearing to people and ask about visiting and staying with them. That could be hard.

But oh how I wish for the day. I dream of taking one of Sharon Santoni’s Provence Tours. I have been wanting to do something like this for a very long time. Her tours are perfect for someone like me.

A tour like that would be perfect with a girlfriend. No husband or kids! Sorry…

How do you guys feel about that? Do any of you have a friend overseas that doesn’t mind you coming and staying? And if so where have you gone and what have you done? Please share in the comments below. I would really like to know.

Thanks for reading and enjoy your day!

I have a friend who lived just outside of London, England for a few years. She said her door was always open should I like to visit, but then would comment in her emails that she was tired after hosting guests (often family). Consequently, I didn't take her up on her offer. As convenient/fun as it would have been to stay with her, I didn't want to risk the friendship.

      Well Hello Zenaide,
Are you new to the blog? I have never seen your name before. If so welcome and thank you for reading my blog. I completely understand your comment and your friend. That is what I would not want my friend to feel like. I agree with you. I would not want to risk my friendship.

    Hi Mrs. Shockley,
Oh my! This is a thought provoking article you have here. Yes, that would be lovely to have a friend overseas that would open their home. And they could show you around to some of the amazing places in the town, such as museums, cafes, gardens, wineries. I read about the Sharon Sontoni tours, and that would be lovely with a girlfriend that would enjoy it as well. We have friends that have a summer home in Greece. They don't have children, so I am not sure how they would feel about us bringing our girls.

      Hi Mya,
Wouldn't it be nice to visit another country? I love the idea about the wineries. That would be fabulous. I wish I could attend the Blossoming Lady Conference in Texas with Jennifer L. Scott and the other ladies. Wouldn't that be great?
