Looking for Beautiful Things…
Hello and Happy Monday,
I hope everyone enjoyed that fast weekend. I didn’t do much. I ran my normal errands, got my nails done, and waited on some orders to come in. I also watched a bunch of romance 90’s movies on Tubi. They were all a part of the Harlequin romance series. They had a few movies on the Tubi app so I watched those. They were pretty good. Watching movies that are over 20 years old just reminds you of how far downhill we have gone. I hate a lot of t.v. shows today. I watch a lot of old stuff but let’s move on.

My roses are doing well. Thank you to my good friend and reader of the blog Mya, I was able to save my roses from some pesky slugs that kept eating them! I am happy to report that they are now slug-free and happy!
I have recently been on Facebook Marketplace again! I have been looking for some blue and white armchairs. I was inspired by the photo below from Nicola Bathie.

I have found a few sets and will let you guys know if I purchase anything soon. I have also been on Madame de la Maison website. I love this woman. She is my hero. Being able to turn a passion into a career is the dream for everyone.
She has so many beautiful pieces on her website. I am sure that I will be purchasing something in the future. What beautiful things are you searching for? Anything on your radar? Please share below we would all love to hear.
Have a great Monday!
What lovely arm chairs Mrs. Shockley. I do hope you can find what you are looking for. I’m not looking for anything particular at this moment. I did get new bedding but I’m dissatisfied with the selection. If I do anything it will be to address my bedding and pillows. So grateful the slugs have moved on from your precious rose bushes. I agree with you on TV. I don’t watch it. Repeats of Little House, Dick Van Dyke Show, The Waltons, Andy Griffin, Hallmark, The Beverly Hillbillies and a select few YouTube channels and my old movies. Yesterday I watched on old movie from 1945 on YouTube called Leave Her To Heaven with Gene Tierney…put that one on your list. Enjoy your week😊🌷
Hi Ms. Tracey!
Bedding is so hard to buy! That is one decor item that can take me months or years to make a decision on. I am happy that they are gone too! That solution from Mya was such a lifesaver.
I love the Hallmark channel. My step-son recently made the comment that this channel is all he sees on our t.v.! I am going to have to check out that movie! I love Gene Tierney!
Hi Mrs. Shockley,
So good to hear your roses are doing well. What type of rose do you have? They are blooming so beautifully.
I am on the hunt for some blue and white in my kitchen. We had our kitchen renovated- think Aerin Lauder’s kitchen. I do love it. I am hoping to find an extra large blue and white serving plate and place that on a book easel, on the counter top. Our counter tops are grey and white quartz. Also, blue and white Cafe curtain for my window above my sink. Perhaps toile. They have to be items that are classic and that I know I will love for a long time. So I am taking my time.
Hi Mya,
Thank you for the tip! It worked. I just have some regular knockout roses. They turned out well this year. Oh you got to do a kitchen reno? Oh, I am jealous. I would love to change the color of my cabinets but my husband likes them the way they are. I am loving your ideas for the platter and toile curtains. I hope you find them. I would check Amazon for the kitchen curtains. You might stumble on some!
