On the Hunt ~ New Office Furniture

Good Morning Everyone,

I am so exhausted. This week was so busy. I am hoping to sleep in a bit Saturday morning. I hope the weather gets better. Right now we are having an ice storm…. again. It’s so frustrating. I have been trying to keep my spirits lifted in regards to this weather. One thing that has lifted my spirits is furniture shopping. So I have not done a ton of furniture shopping but I have been looking at a few websites.

One thing that I am on the hunt for is a chinoiserie table/desk. I really want to replace my table/desk in my home office.

This is an example of what I am looking for. I have only seen one desk like this and it was about $1,000 at the antique store. Way out of my budget!

Here is another example. I just love the design and colors and it’s probably made of real wood which would be a plus!

The second item that I have been in love with for a few years now is this James Settee piece. It has been on the One Kings Lane website for a while now. This piece was designed by the One Kings Lane team and has colorful floral upholstery. It was crafted in European beech.

Now my list would not be complete if I could not have the accent chair as well. I will take you guys on the journey if I find anything but so far I love how this is coming together. I can see these pieces in my home office now. My style is really evolving which I knew it would. I am about to enter a new decade in my life. I am expecting more changes this time as well. I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend. I have a new dress arrival coming soon for the boutique. I hope it looks wonderful in person. I will also be posting a new video to my Youtube channel as well!

    Good morning Mrs. Shockley,

The weather here in Central Pennsylvania has been crazy too. Two days ago it was 68 degrees, the next day in the 40’s. I am looking forward to Spring for sure.

You have impeccable taste, Mrs. Shockley. Those furniture peices are elegant and I could see them in your office/ boutique with the lovely art work you have on the walls. Well worth budgeting and saving for.

I will email you some photos of my kitchen. I’m not on Instagram any longer. Can’t wait to see what you add to the boutique! I missed getting the Clara dress and I haven’t forgiven myself. Lol. Hope you get in all the rest you deserve.

    Best,

    Mya

      Hi Mya,
Thank you so much for the compliment Mya! You are too nice! I look forward to receiving the photos. I am looking for some kitchen inspiration myself.
I am excited about the new arrival but I am always a nervous wreck. I hope it’s beautiful! Thank you for always reading!

It’s been in the upper 60s to low 70s all week here in GA, this weekend supposed to 30 degrees and rainy. Wacky weather is back. Beautiful table and settee. I’ve seen something very similar desks and yes they were expensive. Don’t forget to look on Etsy. You might be shocked at what you find. They use a payment system similar to Affurm called Klarna. I’ve used them several times and I like the process. Even if something is costly, you can use that as a payment option😉

Oh my, that is perfect weather for me. I love the 60s. I am looking forward to warm weather but I dread the humidity.
Thank you for the wonderful suggestion. I completely forgot about Etsy. Although I would be afraid of shipping something like that, I may have to give it a try. Thank you!
