Swans & Roses at the Cake Bake Shop

Hello three-day weekend!

I am so looking forward to having the extra day this weekend! It always helps with home chores, errands, and honestly getting caught up on blog posts. This weekend we will be celebrating Father’s Day of course with my husband. I really want to take him to Daniel’s Vineyard for dinner. It looks like a wonderful place to have dinner and it’s a family vineyard so you can bring kids. It will be a pizza and wine kind of night. I did want to order a charcuterie board. It has fruits, cheeses, and smoked meats. They do not offer reservations and they are about 30 minutes from our house. I really hope that we can go without a lot of hassle. I’ll let you all know!

Speaking of wonderful dinning, I mentioned on Instagram that I went to the Cake Bake Shop recently! I had to share the most recent decor.

It was a beautiful sunny day when we went. It was just starting to get warm.

I love these faux floral trees! I wish I knew where she was getting her faux flower arrangements. I would love these on my porch!

Isn’t it darling?

I had to get a photo of me in front of the swans. The dress I am wearing is from Red Dress Boutique. My shoes are of course Sarah Flint. If you click on this link you will be taken to the website and if you add your shoes to cart and purchase my $50 off discount code will appear! The bag is from MME.Mink.

Oh my goodness, once inside I could not stop staring at all the beautiful faux roses and crystal! It’s GOREGOUS!

The gift shop is always full of wonderful surprises. This season’s theme was swans. My favorite. Right now is the best time to order ornaments. They are half the price!

I seriously could not stop looking at the decor. It’s wonderful!

For my dinner this time I got the parmesan crusted chicken, with arugula salad, and roasted potatoes. Wonderful as usual and for cake I chose…

Carrot cake! It was so moist and delicious! I think out of all of the cakes I have tried this is my favorite! I am still thinking about it. It was a wonderful evening out with family and I always enjoy the decor and food. If you want to read about my other visits and see the decor you may read here, here and here

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend and celebrate the special men in your life!

Also the Chrissy Ruffle Midi is on sale! It’s only $25 right now.

Daniel’s Vineyard looked like a fabulous place. I hope you all get in there as well. The decor is Cake Bake Shop is everything. I just could not get more lovely. I literally gasped. You should inquire about their faux trees. Check out Frontgate as well. They used to have beautiful faux trees and plants.

Speaking if plants today I went to the Plant and Flower Show and did I have a blast. It was a really nice. Full of street vendors, food trucks, live music. I was able to score some local cotton honey. It’s a taste I can’t describe but it’s so good. It’s like nothing else I’ve tasted before. Of course my Georgia Peach Farmer was there. I got a small bushel. They are so good this year the juice runs down your arm. We’ve been under massive heat advisories the past several days, so I had wrote off going. Last night the storm of all storms came in and cool things down dramatically. I put on my dusty rose gold shimmery Sperry, a floral sundress and my sunhat and out I went. I’m so glad I did. I went by myself. I scored a massive whiskey barrel of mixed plant arrangement. It has Boston ferns, bougainvillea, alocasia. So many events and workshops. I had a graduation party today too so I couldn’t fit everything in. I did get the things I wanted. Nice busy summet Saturday. Love it??☘???

Southern Living Magazine did a article on my town. The article title is Covington Is a Small Georgia Town Know for Its Big Spirit. Our town square has been in so many Hallmark Movies and other films. That popular show Vampire Diaries was filmed here. Thought I’d share that with you.

Thank you so much for sharing your day! Sounds great! I have had some of those peaches before and you are right. They are so juicy and soo good! I am glad that you went out and enjoyed yourself. Sounds like a wonderful day.
I’ll have to look up that article. I didn’t know that Hallmark went to Georgia to film movies. What a fun fact is that! Please continue to attend your activities. I love hearing about you attending things.

    Hello Mrs. Shockley,

Oh my how I wish we had a place like the CakeBake shop nearby. I have to do some investigating. I can’t stop looking at the photos you’ve shared. Wow!

When I read your post, I was inspired to look into some nice wineries around here. And I am happy to say I found some just like Daniel’s Winery. What a great idea for Father’s Day. I am planning a family visit to a Winery nearby. It’s call Broody Vineyards. My sister has been a few times and loved it.It looks so beautiful with stone buildings and it’s set on a farm with stunning rolling hills. I’ll have to let you know more sometime later. Can’t wait to hear about your visit for Father’s Day!

    Take care,

    Mya
