Secret Details

I know I have shared tons of “chic tips” from author Jennifer L. Scott but I just can’t get enough of them. I love her tip called “Secret Details”. I believe in this tip so much. Especially, in regards to making an effort to enjoy being woman.

“Enjoy the secret details of dressing every day. Don’t wear your granny panties and hole-y socks (in fact, throw them away). Pick out a beautiful matching bra and panty set to wear today. Yes, today! Even though you don’t have a hot date. Even though no one will see them. You will know you are wearing them, and that is enough. Wear your nice lingerie and spritz yourself with your favorite fragrance. Then put your clothes on. Enjoy these secret details. You’ll have a decided spring in your step throughout your hectic day”.

My nightgown and favorite body spritz. I spray it on every night before bed.

Pomegranate Peony

I love walking around Anthropologie. They have some of the best home decor, scents, dishes, everything!  While walking around I went to each section smelling the different perfumes. I found this one. I love it! It’s called Pomegranate Peony. It’s a very small bottle. I wish they would make it bigger but I love it!

I smell just like a flower and I have had tons of compliments on it already!! I plan on buying two more bottles soon.

A Little Shopping in South Carolina

We visited a few places in South Carolina. We went to the Market Common for some outdoor shopping and the mall located in Columbia. These are some of the items that I looked at while shopping in South Carolina.

I found these gorgeous swan candles at Anthropologie
They were only $5! I didn’t like the scent of the candle
so I cleaned them out and I will use them for storage.

I took a peek inside this book. It has beautiful photos and wonderful recipes!

Beautiful grasshopper plates

I love these teacups!
I visited this little boutique-hair salon in Myrtle Beach.

The earrings in the middle are the ones I purchased from Salon Edge.
They have gorgeous jewelry and decor.

Beauty Day at Von Maur

A few weeks ago I was in the mall at my favorite store Von Maur and stopped by the Estee Lauder counter. I wanted to get some more of the lip gloss they had. The representative told me that if I spent $45 I would get the entire Estee Lauder gift bag set for free because it was beauty week at Von Maur!! Well sign me up!! You would not believe the free items I received from Estee Lauder. So fantastic…

For purchasing the two lip glosses I received this beautiful Estee Lauder
makeup pouch and all these items!!
I got two free lipsticks (my choice of color) and this eye shadow compact.

The Estee Lauder Perfectly Clean facial wash is so fantastic and smells wonderful!
I also received the Estee Lauder Daywar cream with SPF 15 & the Advanced Night Repair serum.
Here is a photo of the Estee Lauder Daywear Cream.
Here are the two lip glosses that I purchased.

The Madame

I did quite a bit of shopping while in South Carolina. One place we visited while walking on Main Street in Myrtle Beach was The Wildflower. It is a vintage boutique that carries lots of different things. The owner is a “picker” and goes to a lot of estate sales.

The one thing that caught my eye was the statue below. I have wanted one of these for sometime now. I saw one of my favorite designers Tobi Fairley with something like this in her living room and she put her Chanel pearls on it and I thought that was just fantastic!

Below are some of the items I saw and the statue that I purchased. I call her “The Madame”. I also posted the decorating video from Tobi Fairly and P. Allen Smith that gave me this idea. Have a great weekend!

My statue called “The Madame”. I only paid $20 for her.
I put my Chanel pearls on her too!!

She had beautiful seashells. I loved this one.
It reminded me of the seashells that Aerin Lauder has in her home.

She had loads and loads of vintage earrings.
Of course I purchased a pair.

The last pair with the blue is the pair I purchased from her.
