Merry Christmas Gifts

Good Morning Everyone and Merry Christmas!

I hope you are all enjoying this holiday season with your families. I have been so busy the past few days but I wanted to take the time to wish all of my blog readers a very Merry Christmas and a big thank you!

Thank you for following my blog and for keeping in touch with me for all these years. Can you believe that I started this blog in 2014? I can’t! I am closing in on 1,000 posts! Wow…

This blog has opened a lot of doors for me. For one it has allowed me to find wonderful and beautiful friends. Some of my best friends have been found through blogging. I love it, thank you.

In today’s post, I wanted to share a few of my Christmas purchases for family. The photo above is of two scarfs that I picked up at H&M. They are for my husband’s uncles.

This is a jeweled sweater that I picked up last year (December 2018) during H&M’s after Christmas sales. I purchased this for my father-in-law’s wife. After Christmas is the perfect time to purchase Christmas gifts for the following year. I only paid $10 for this!

I keep all of my Christmas gifts in a large tub in my guest bedroom. I just continue to shop throughout the year so it’s not a mad dash at the end to purchase gifts.

I love these beautiful gift tags that I found at T.J. Maxx.
I found this beautiful pink blush outfit with matching tights at T.J. Maxx for my husband’s cousin. She just had a baby last year. I thought the plush ballerina unicorn would be a nice touch. I only paid $12 for the outfit and only $8 for the unicorn.

My husband’s grandmother loves soft large blankets. She’s almost 90 now and I wanted to keep that going. I found this last year for only $12. I hope she loves it!

Dinnerware can be a wonderful gift so I could not pass up these beautiful, large poinsettia plates from T.J. Maxx. I purchased them last year in December for only $4 each! I am giving them to my husband’s aunt. She is the first lady at her church. I figured that she might be able to use them there.

My mother in law is always hard to buy for but this year we found this North Face vest for only $50 and this Michael Kors wallet for only $20! My mother in law is a bit of a fashionista. She pays attention to the trends and has very good taste.
I had to wrap her gift in my blue and white wrapping paper.

I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas and thank you again for taking this journey with me.

Merry Christmas!

Christmas Party Choices

Good Morning Everyone,

I hope you all had a great weekend. Did everyone finish their Christmas shopping? I did!!! I was finished in November. Glad that part is over.

Now, this week is our office Open House and Christmas Luncheon. So I am trying to figure out what to wear. The weather is expected to change. We are getting snow… yay, and colder temperatures!

So below are a few items that I have put together…

I am thinking about wearing this for our office luncheon. I wanted something sparkly, chic and comfy. My crystal flower sweater looks great with my black skirt, vintage earrings, gold bracelet, and slingbacks

Next is our Open House and the outfit below is what I am thinking…
I just got this beautiful studded velvet kimono from Ann Taylor. Now in the photo online it looks pink but it is gray. I am pairing this with my gray Banana Republic dress, emerald green vintage earrings, hummingbird brooch, and slingbacks.

Now throughout the week, I am considering the following…

For Monday, I am thinking of my pearl sweater from H&M, vintage clip earrings, gold bracelet, and red velvet slingbacks.

I will pair this with a black tulle skirt.

On Tuesday, I am thinking about wearing my red boat-neck sweater from H&M, vintage poinsettia brooch, pink crystal earrings and crystal bow pink heels from Ann Taylor.

I will pair this with a tulle skirt as well. I am looking forward to this week being over honestly. I know that sounds bad but sometimes the office functions can be hard. Some of our support staff can be pretty nasty and classless at these functions. Just not good spirits to be around. I try to stay away from them and volunteer as much as possible but honestly, it’s getting a little old.

I hope you all have a great week and share a description of some of your office outfits below if you can!

My Black Friday Purchases

Good Morning Everyone!

Sighing….. I have one more big dinner to cook for in a few weeks then I can relax.

I hope you all had a great week. There was a lot going on in the office this week so I am glad that it is ending.

I found some wonderful items during Black Friday. I never go out and honestly, I don’t see the need to since you can order online and get the same deals.

I told my friend, “if people are fighting over chicken sandwiches I sure don’t want to go out on Black Friday”!

So let’s get into my favorite items so far….

Ann Taylor, Ann Taylor! I love Ann Taylor. Honestly, it is the best website to find great, elegant, and timeless pieces for your wardrobe.

I simply adore these velvet slingbacks from Ann Taylor Loft. I have been wearing them all week and they are so comfy! You will NOT regret getting a pair.
Even the bows add tons of elegance.

I had to get them in both colors!

The next purchase that I made were these beautiful suede polka dot pumps from Ann Taylor.

The polka dots are gold!

I could not pass up this crystal flower sweater from Ann Taylor Loft. I believe it is sold out in regular sizes. The only size that is available is in the plus sizes.

I also could not pass up this chic emerald stole from Ann Taylor. The color is perfect and so is the feel. I love wearing this!

It looks great with my vintage clip earrings that I just ordered from eBay.

And lastly, I found this really affordable pink blush velvet sunglass case from H&M. I tried to locate it online but could not find it. Sorry!
I purchased more items and I have more pieces that I am stalking like this velvet kimono from Ann Taylor.

Gorgeous, isn’t it? I am trying to wait a bit longer. I am curious about some of your finds. Did you guys buy anything that you adore over Black Friday weekend?

My husband purchased an iRobot Roomba from QVC. We named him Alfred (Batman’s butler). I do like it but it’s a little weird seeing him clean the floor. I not quite sure how I feel about robots in the house but I guess that is where we are headed.

Have a great weekend and I will be posting a video of all of these finds if you wish to see them.

Thanks for reading!

Satin Skirts

Good Morning Everyone,

And we made it! We made it through another Thanksgiving holiday. I hope everyone had a wonderful time with their families.

We did. It was nice having my step-sons home and my brother and his wife were over also. It was very nice.

In today’s post, I wanted to share my recent scary purchase. I purchased a satin skirt.

Now I have been seeing these everywhere. J.CrewAnn Taylor and H&M. In fact, that is where I made my purchase.
I was so paranoid about making this purchase. I did try it on in the store and I am glad that I did. I would have never purchased it online. I have hips and these skirts look so slender. I didn’t think it would fit me right but it did and it looks great!

Since this skirt is so dressy I wanted to keep my tops a little more casual. I wore this to the office about a week ago and I was very pleased with how it fit and how comfy it was.

If you are thinking about making a satin skirt purchase I would recommend it. It would be a wonderful addition to any wardrobe.

Enjoy your Monday!

An Elegant Gold Purse Chain…

Good Morning Everyone and Happy Wednesday,

One day before turkey day! Yay! I am looking forward to spending time with my family this Thanksgiving. We are having just a few people over and my step-sons. It should be quiet and cozy.

Now on to our regularly scheduled program. A few months ago I shared the beautiful purse below on my Youtube channel.

This is called the Kedeiviel and is still available I might add. It comes with a strap but I really wanted a gold chain.
So I went and searched on Amazon and found this gold purse chain for only $7.99 and thought I would give it a try. I love it but it was just a little too short for me. So I thought, “well at $7.99 and free shipping why not try this again”.

This is what it looks like on your shoulder.
So I went back on their website and ordered another size. This one is PERFECT for me! I love the length and the quality is pretty good for $7.99!

Here is what this size looks like on my shoulder.
Honestly, I could not be happier and I am glad that I took a chance and ordered another size. I will be able to use both of these chains on other purses if I wanted.

I hope that you enjoyed this chic and affordable find. And I also want to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving and a wonderful weekend! Take care.

Affordable Vintage Inspired Earrings

Good Morning Everyone!

I have been feeling wiped out for the last few weeks. I don’t know if it’s the weather or all of my lists that I have going on.

I am just about finished with Christmas shopping and I have most of my Thanksgiving feast purchased. The only items I have left are the fresh ingredients which I try to wait until the last minute to buy.

Today I wanted to share a lovely and affordable find. With the holidays fast approaching I thought these beautiful Victoria Style Earrings from Amazon would be the pretty item to add to your holiday outfit!

These are called the BriLove Victorian Style Clip-On Earrings and they come in eight different colors!

I purchased the champagne, ruby, and the emerald. They are so beautiful and comfy! Each set comes with its own gift box and jewelry pouch. There are even extra stones and an extra comfy pad for each set.

The emerald…
The ruby…
And the champagne, my favorite!

The price is only $12.99 each and free shipping! I am thinking about going back and ordering more colors. Maybe the amethyst or the navy.

I hope you all enjoyed this find and order a pair for yourself!

Enjoy!

My Nightwear Collection

Hello Everyone!

Sorry for the no-post on Monday. I was wiped out from Christmas decorating on Sunday. I am grateful that we had Monday off. That helped! I had a request to show what my nightwear collection looked like.

At the time of the request, I was working on getting new nightgowns. It is really cold here in Indy. Our high yesterday was below 30 degrees and I needed to get some thicker nightgowns.

So below are the current nightgowns that I own. They may be a little frumpy to some but it’s cold here and I have step-sons that pop-up and I don’t need to be wearing anything revealing.

I just purchased this recently. It’s the Secret Treasures Collection from Walmart! Yes, Walmart and I do love it! Now I know that a lot of people are not a fan of Walmart (including myself) but sometimes you can find a great thing or two.

Here is my second gown from Walmart and it is blue and white. Yay!

My third winter nightgown (also from Walmart). I think I got this a size too big but it works. It is so soft and keeps me warm.

I have a silk gown that I wear during the summer and winter. I can’t remember where I got this from but here is a similar one if you are interested.

Here is my last silk gown. I wear this in the summer and spring also. The robe I did find at Walmart but I can not find a link to it. Sorry!

I did feel kind of weird writing this post and posting pictures but I don’t think that I am revealing too much so it should be okay. If you have any sources as to where you find your presentable sleepwear please post it in the comments section below. We all read them and love to hear what others are wearing.

Thanks for reading!!!

If you wish to read Jennifer L. Scott’s blog post about her nightwear you may view it here.
