Elegant Clothes and Feminine Accessories

A Shopping Update

Last week I wrote a post about velvet items. Well, I did order the velvet bow clutch from Ann Taylor and it has arrived. I just wanted to share what it looked like.

It is absolutely beautiful and I will carry it in my Louis Vuitton Neverfull. That tote is so big that I can place the clutch inside and use as a cosmetic bag, or a bag to keep items in.

My Suede Bow Pumps were on my list for this winter also. These are super comfortable!
I couldn’t believe it!
The heel is 3 1/2 inches long.

Great for office wear everyday.
I sure hope you enjoyed this post and pop on over to Ann Taylor. The shoes are about $45 and the clutch is about $35! Everything is 50% off! Enjoy!!!!

Gracious Jewelry at Banana Republic

I think that Banana Republic and Ann Taylor for that matter has some of the best jewelry! I am always excited for when the holiday season comes around. I see some of the prettiest things at that time. This past week I went and took a little visit to Banana Republic and wanted to share some of the things that I found.

I actually picked these up! They are so pretty on.
Here I am with the earrings and fox brooch.
Now these are gorgeous!!!!
Always classic!
And last but not least the faux fur creature brooch. I actually did pick this up and cannot wait to wear it with my other brooches. I love combining more than one brooch together. It always looks great!
You should check out their website for more beautiful things.
Enjoy!!!

Why I Wear Glitter Shoes

When November arrives I always begin to pull out my glitter heels. Some people have given me a hard time in the past for wearing them. I don’t know why but they do.

I think it is because they associate glitter heels with Christmas only. You are only allowed to wear them on Christmas Day and to parties only. Well, if you have not learned something about me yet then you will learn that I am not going to bow to what people believe that I should do.

I start to wear my glitter heels the second week of November like clock work every year. I love some of the reactions that I get from the little girls. Ohhhh, they love it! Especially when I am standing in line, they just smile at me. It is the best!

For the most part, women just stare at them and you can see a slight smile or glimmer in their eyes when I walk by.

If you have a pair of glitter heels WEAR THEM! I wear mine to the office with a nice blouse, skirt and maybe a brooch or some pearls. You can make them really chic with the right outfit.
Here is my collection so far. All of them are comfortable and most of them are from Payless!! I paid under $40 for each pair.
I just want to encourage people to wear what you have and stop worrying about people. The truth is they are going to talk about you anyway. So just continue with your life and be elegant!
If you wish to read my past post about glitter heels, see here and here. Enjoy!

Simple Glamour at Banana Republic

It’s that time….. I think we all know it. You either love it or hate it. The Holidays…. for me I love it especially since it is sweater season. Love all of the posh sweaters that are surfacing this year. I stopped by Banana Republic to see what goodies were out this season and found a few that were very nice.

This was so lovely in person!
They are sold out of my size already. Darn!
Great Christmas gift for that young woman you know….
I saw this in person and loved it!
I wanted to go back and have another peek. There were a few things that I wanted to get pictures of but we will see. I hope that you enjoy some of these ideas.

Sweater & Tote Shopping at H & M

Just a quick little post. I decided to take some of my lunch break time and get away from the office for a bit. I always like taking a little walk. It helps me clear my head and sometimes it is very inspiring. I get info for the blog or it gives me ideas for home.

So last week it was H & M. I saw a few things that I liked and just wanted to share them….

Love this coat!

Great blouse, I may need to go back and get it!

Great colors!
This is great!

Love the bug details!

This is a giant infinity scarf! I couldn’t find it online but it is quite lovely

They have the best totes! I do wish some were a little bit bigger!

Great skirt, it has little sparkles.
It’s always fun shopping in H & M. They always have great fashion pieces at great prices. Enjoy the finds!!!!

A Recent Purchase….

Well, I finally purchased a blue and white tea cup set. I found it on Ebay. It’s funny I didn’t realize it until a few days ago but the same cup that I purchased on Ebay was the same cup that I had on my inspiration grid at work.

This is my inspiration grid. It has things that I love. I have a room in the middle that is from a French hotel. I love the furniture! I have my dream Chanel bag. Peonies from my bouquet last year. A chateau that is for sale in Normandy and last but not least the blue and white tea cup that I found on Pinterest and that I just loved.

Here is the photo on Ebay. I seriously didn’t realize it was the same cup until the day before it shipped! Uncanny right?
So I made an offer and it was accepted! I received it on Friday and here it is below.
Now it is exactly as she said in the description, I just didn’t realize that it would be so small.
But I have to keep in mind that these cups are from the 40’s and everything was in smaller portion sizes back then. I still love it but the search continues for my blue and white cup. I do love my new set that I picked up last week.
I do love these cups. They were such a wonderful find! I sort of wish I would have picked up those crystal vases too! Oh well all the more reason to continue to go antiquing!
