Monique Lhullier Collection

This has been one of the most beautiful collections that I have seen so far in 2018. I follow Pottery Barn on Youtube and watched their video of Monique Lhullier’s lastest botanical collection. I WILL be going to our local Pottery Barn to see this in person!

Beautiful, isn’t it?

It is only $48 for a set of four dinnerware plates!!
How fabulous is that?
Even the table linens are lovely.
She has added bed linens to the collection also. I can’t wait to see this in person.
I think I may have to buy some of those plates and some tea towels.
Here is the video, enjoy!!!!

A Friend’s Home Tour

A lot of my friends know that I enjoy beautiful things and spaces. My friend Lindsay lives on the east coast either New York or D.C. (I can’t remember) but she is always on the move. She came home for the holidays to spend time with family. She inboxed me once she went home because some of the rooms in her mother’s home reminded her of me and I was so glad that she did! I loved all the rooms and just love her mother’s decor! I was so happy when Lindsay said that it was okay for me to share some of the photos on the blog.

Isn’t this buffet table gorgeous? And I spy blue and white underneath!

Love the blue and white on the tree!
Aren’t the wing-back chairs great?
Love the table and chairs along with the blue and white rug! I must find this!
Aren’t the chair slip covers so charming? I love the lace table cover.
Love the blue and white in the kitchen!
The prints and knick-knacks are so chic!
I even love this vintage bench sitting in front of the stair case. I love receiving these photos from my friend and found some items that I am inspired to look for.
Thanks Lindsay for the photos!
They are truly living elegant everyday!

Kitchen of the Month ~ December 2017

Happy New Year Everyone! I wanted to start the year with this beautiful kitchen tour. These kitchens of the month in House Beautiful sure have been marvelous to see. This month it is a kitchen by designer Alison Pickart. It is absolutely stunning as all the kitchens of the months in House Beautiful have been.

My New Wine Glasses

Costco, wonderful Costco! I love Costco seriously. We go there a lot! My husband found these great wine glasses and I just had to share…..

They are so simple and elegant.

I watched a video from William Hanson who is an etiquette expert and he said to hold a wine glass by the stem. If you hold it by the cup you will look like an alcoholic!
If you wish to watch this video you may see it here.
Beware….

It is nice to finally have wine glasses that match. My glasses have been 2 here, 3 there and they have all been different. So to have wine glasses that are a set is absolutely wonderful to me!
If you wish to purchase them you may do so here. Could be a great hostess gift.
And the best part is they are shatter resistant! So great!
I hope you enjoyed this post and are inspired!

Fav Kitchen Items at Williams Sonoma

Did you get your recent Williams Sonoma catalog? I know I did and of course picked out a few kitchen favorites….

Would love to have this!!!
I still adore this! I may have mentioned these before on the blog.
Well aren’t these festive?
Ohh, how chic are these?
Now this is a sight of beauty!!
I would like to have all of these items but one thing that I have learned is patience pays off in the end. I always like to wait on my dream items. Sales always come and that is what I like to wait for. Waiting is elegant!!!!

Christmas Brunch Ideas

Here are some quick ideas from blogger Daniell Fox who threw a Christmas brunch instead of a dinner party to celebrate.

1) Plan a meal that you can prepare ahead of time….

She suggested making pancakes and having an assortment of toppings for your guests.

2) Keep it cozy…..

She kept the color palette in earthy tones, add Christmas lights and velvet pillows.

3) Use greenery to make the space more inviting…..

She used greenery from a florist and the floral arrangements were inspired by a wedding bouquet.

Some of the ornaments on the tree are from the Enchanted Home! I have some of those!
It’s always exciting when a decorator uses something that you purchased also!

Okay, we must talk about this room. I just LOOOOVE this! Oh my goodness when I saw it in the magazine I just knew that I would use this for later in life inspiration. I can just see myself here with my husband (both of us retired) and having my hot water, lemon and honey in my blue and white teacup. I would be looking out the window looking at snow or my flower garden and waiting on my grandchildren to arrive! I think that this is great! Just a cozy table with two chairs. The article said that the table was custom made. I maybe custom copying!!!!

Another inspiring room. I love the idea of having armchairs fitted with slipcovers in a favorite fabric. Another great dining room idea. If you missed my search for dining room inspiration you may see it here.

This room is so spectacular! Just a classic design that will never go out of style. Love the pop of red!

Still can’t believe that this home is from 1822. Just gorgeous! That is why I admire tradition so much. We are always reaching back to it.
