I am still working on getting the blog ready to transition over to my new website. I am really excited and very nervous at the same time. There are so many projects that I want to do in the future. I hope the Lord will allow me too.
Well, let’s get into my favorites for October…
My first favorite has been my new vera clip earrings from Loren Hope. I just love these! I have been wearing them non-stop over the entire month. I even have them in right now. Love them!
My secondhas been the French Character Homes channel on YouTube. This is a cup of tea, sit on the cozy couch, and enjoy kind of channel. I must admit I did it a few times this month.
Third, on my list has been my jade roller. Goodness, you guys I love this thing! My face glows after using it. I feel like I don’t even need any makeup after using it.

Fourth on my list has been my faux flower arrangments in my personal office at home. I found the red hydrangeas at Walmart. Here is a similar bunch. The deep red is perfect.

The fifth is my LV purse insert from Etsy. This has done wonders for my neverfull. I can find everything and it’s organized. This can be used for any kind of tote but if you have a neverfull give it a try!
The first week of October is upon us! It’s going to be chilly this week in Indy. My birthday is today. I really didn’t plan anything this year. Covid really sucked the fun out of everything. I will share some of my birthday items later. Now on to my favorites for the month of September!
If you follow me on Instagram you may have already seen some of these items.
Most of you know how much I love Poshmark and could not resist purchasing these. They are so comfy and extremely chic!
I also picked up this Talbots leopard tote.
Next have been my faux flower arrangments. These have brightened my home and changed the look completely.
The fifth has been my fabric shaver! Okay, let me rephrase that, it’s my husband’s! He actually purchased it and try to convince me to use it but I thought it would be “bogus”. Turns out it wasn’t. It’s a great product and got rid of all of those lint balls on my pink coat! Yay!
Sixth is has been my new blue and white embroidered face mask from the Enchanted Home. Now I will say these are a bit expensive but I love the fact that I have a beautiful mask to wear. It’s not fun wearing these but they are necessary for the time being and why not have a beautiful one? I have had multiple people stop me about it.
The seventh has been these oh so chic and so comfy studded heels from Macy’s. I have been wearing these over and over. They are so pretty and so elegant. I do enjoy them.
My eighth favorite has been this beautiful find from Homegoods. I love a delicate and elegant notecard. I still use these for my thank you’s! I think a handwritten note says, “I am making time for you” and we need to do that more nowadays. I found some similar ones here if you are interested. Also, I had to share these beautiful teapot favor boxes from Michaels. I am seriously thinking about ordering a set just because!
Ninth on the list, and my list has never been this long, are my velvet pumpkins from Amazon. These have been such a popular decor item this season. I know some of you have ordered these. I hope you love them as much as I do!
Tenth on my list was my pumpkin bread that I picked up at Starbucks. I was craving this for 2 weeks in the month of September so I decided to stop by and pick up a slice. It was well worth it. Now I have been craving oatmeal. I have a local Schwan man who stops by our house ever two weeks and I decided to try their steel-cut oatmeal with red quinoa. Oh my gosh!!! You guys it was soo yummy! It has brown sugar and honey in it and it was so creamy! I am going to enjoy eating it this week.
And last but totally not least has been this fun and inspiring video below. I have watched it several times already! I am so doing this the next time I find a furniture piece and what to change the color. After seeing her complete this project I believe that I can now be fearless! I hope you watch it!
I hope you guys enjoyed my favorites for this month. I can tell by my new purchases and new Youtube channels that I have recently found that I will have lots of favorites for the month of October.
I hope everyone is well. I tell you what… this homeschooling thing is hard! I believe that I told you guys that I am micro-managing my daughter and her assignments. It has not been fun but each night or every other night we have a “review day”. It’s where we go over the next few days’ assignments. We are getting through it and are getting into a schedule.
Alright, enough about “adulting” and let’s get into my favorites this month. August flew right by and I had to ask myself what did I enjoy this month. There were a lot of things but I wanted to share these.
The first is my daily lunch. I did not know how good scrambled eggs and avocado were together. My goodness! I have been eating this sandwich daily for lunch.
It is so yummy! The next is this beautiful Youtube channel of Shirinatra! Shirin is a beautiful young vintage enthusiast from Germany. She has great taste and wonderful videos. This video has been one of my favorites.
I hope you enjoy her style and channel!
Third has been my new chinoiserie inspired canvas! If you have followed my blog for a long time then you know how much I have been on the hunt for one of these! They are so expensive but my good friend called me and told me about this particular canvas and that it was available at the At Home Store.
If you have had the desire to own one of these then click on the link above. It is absolutely beautiful in person!
My heart is still set on owning one like this and I believe that one day I will!
Fourth has been, of course, my Gal meets Glam dresses! I shared in Monday’s post that I was able to get a third dress. Well as of this morning I now have a fourth one on the way! I made an offer on the pink version of the dress pictured above and they accepted my offer! I can’t believe it! I love these dresses and hope that the two new ones that are on the way will fit well.
Okay, now on to my fifth favorite. I shared in my recent Youtube video about my weight loss journey (down 5lbs. so far 20 more to go) and the new body analyzer scale that I found online.
This scale tells you your weight, body fat %, bone density, muscle mass, and water weight. I seriously thought that I was going to be mostly water. Umm no. I quickly learned that I don’t get enough water! Something else to add to my list.
And lastly is my (new to me) vintage mirror. I picked this up a new antique store that I found earlier this month. I only paid $30 for it and it is huge! I love the way it looks in my office.
I hope you all enjoyed my favorites for this month and found a few new ones for yourself!
It’s the end of another month in 2020. I know many of us can’t wait for this year to be over. We have lost so much this year already. I somewhat dread 2021. I don’t know what to expect. I am trying to be positive.
Well, let’s jump into my favorites for July…
The first item has been my rose lip cream from Fresh. I take it everywhere, it smells so lovely and is quite a large size. I have no regrets buying this from Instagram. I love it!
My next favorite has been my electric tea kettle that my step-son got for me for Christmas. He found it at Costco but I find one similar from Amazon if you are interested. Our office will not let us use office appliances due to Covid so we have had to get creative. This kettle provides me with the hot water I need to continue to have my hot tea while I am in the office. It has been a blessing.
Third has been my recent Poshmark Finds. I love Poshmark and continue to purchase from it. It gives me great opportunities to search for items that I want and to negotiate prices. See my video below to take a peek.
Fifth were my beautiful pink lilies that I found at the grocery store! Aren’t they stunning? I added some leaves from my peony bush outside to give it more greenery. I loved having these in my home office.
And lastly, has been the beautiful Instagram account of Nicolas Fairford.

I don’t know if any of you follow him but he has such an elegant and inspiring account. He has superb taste and a wonderful Youtube channel if you are interested.
That’s it for my favorites for this month. Most of the items that I love I have already shared them this month. We will see what August holds. Honestly, I am hoping for cooler weather. It has been so hot lately and wearing a mask does not help. Father, please be with us.
I hope you all enjoyed your weekend. I ran a lot of errands on Saturday. My cousin texted me about a new antique shop that she found. The photo that she sent had tons of blue and white in it. I had to go and visit but they were closed!
I don’t understand why so I am hoping that they will reopen soon. All right let’s get into my favorites for the month of June.
My second favorite are my new customized cell cases from Etsy.
I did order a second one.
They are lovely. My third favorite was and of course PEONIES!!!
I have enjoyed them this year despite the limited amounts I was able to buy. They were dreadfully expensive this year!
A fourth favorite was outlet mall shopping. We did a little as soon as some of the stores were allowed to open. It was quite nice having only a few people allowed at a time. It felt like you had more of the store to yourself and were able to look around more.
I purchased this beautiful Coach wallet and Coach scarf.
And last was my comfy and feminine milkmaid dress from Walmart. I LOVE this dress! I have worn it several times already. I can’t help it. It’s so beautiful and lightweight. It has been perfect for these hot humid days now.
I seriously think I need to purchase a second one. I hope you all enjoyed my favorites for the month. I know here soon I will be taking some time off. I do enjoy taking time away from work and the blog. Don’t get me wrong I do love my blog but sometimes finding inspiration can be quite burdensome.
Especially with all of the upsetting things in the news. Have a great Monday everyone!
Things sure are different this year. No swimming, visiting people, just hanging out at home and doing some simple grilling. I hope you all are enjoying your families today and thank you to those who have served this country!
Now let’s get into my May favorites. The first is a new item above. I purchased this lovely dark blue garden stool from Target. I have been wanting one with the blue being the major color and the white being the subtle one. It’s so chic!
My second has been my grand hydrangea from QVC. I talked about this in my lastest youtube video. I said that I was going to order another one. I haven’t yet. It’s really big and I would not know where to put a second one.
Third has been the organic raw honey from Costco. I LOVE this stuff! I put a teaspoon sometimes 2 in my hot tea in the mornings. It is so good. I have been buying the package every time we go. I need to slow down on it!
Fourth, has been peonies! Of course, it is peony season! I found these gorgeous stems at the grocery store. I called my local florist to see if they had any and she told me that they are harvesting this week. I can come this week to pick up a few as long as I have my face mask. Not a problem, I can’t wait!
Fifth, has been my new Amazon shredder. I love having a new shredder in my home office. I was able to get old documents shredded. Like our closing documents from our first home, checks from my first bank account, old bills, etc. It has been wonderful having it.
It’s time for my April favorites even though I really wouldn’t call this month a favorite for anyone. But we have to find our items and events that we are grateful for right?
Let’s get started….
1) Most of you know that I changed around my office. It’s funny how changing around furniture can suddenly change around your life.
It almost gives you a new perspective…
Now I have added a new rug and moved the artwork down. I love the new change. It almost feels like a new room.
2) Since we have all been so limited in traveling I have been working on my planters and trying to come up with a plan for flowers this year. This planter turned out well and I look forward to adding more beautiful plants soon.
3) Walking the boys has been a joy. Our daughter will pull out her bike and ride along with us.
4) I cannot get enough of my scrambled eggs with veggies! I have been making this every day for lunch. The possibilities are endless!
Scrambled eggs, with tomato and spinach
5) I loved my table setting for Easter. We had a quiet dinner at home. I put steaks in the crockpot, made homemade mashed potatoes, roasted broccoli and we had berry tarts for dessert. We all enjoyed it!
6) I have about 19 packages coming from online shopping. I know that sounds horrible but it’s all organizational items for the home. I have been waiting patiently for all my packages. This week my new bedroom bench should be arriving from Walmart so we will see how that goes. Below is my new Sakarya area rug from Walmart.
I placed it in the family room and it looks great. I ordered it in the 5’2 x 7’4 size and it is the perfect fit. It was only $42 after shipping! So worth it!
And last but certainly not least, evenings at home have been nice. Once work is finished sometimes I will go out onto the porch and read or come in my sitting room, sit, and read. It has become my sanctuary away from my family. They can still get to me but they tend to give me my space when I am in this room.
I hope you all enjoyed my favorites for the month. I will share my new purchases as they come in. Have a great Monday!
